I will tell you what I seen Friday night and that is MTP has alot of young raw talent and that is scary. MTP coaches have cleaned the program up and got it headed in the right direction. This ain't MTP year to go far in the playoffs but its not too many years down the road until y'all will be contenders year in and year out. Another thing I saw was WC and MTP players meeting up after the game and shaking hands and telling each other good game, and I'm not talking about the walk through but after they had done their team meetings and were free to leave. I have never seen that in the past out of these two teams.

All of the playmakers return next year, then we lose #5 a year later but keep the rest.... Soph. & Jrs. they are now.

I have heard nothing but good things from people I talk too about the Coaches and the way they talk to, teach and handle the kids disciplinarily... Good things.... I went to school about the same time with Scharrer and Massey (assistants), both good guys and players when they played, and it seems Hoath is as well. Never see them yelling, angered at kids.... Always positive re-enforcement kind of deal happening there.... though I'm sure they have their moments, it just does't seem to show. I too seen some good sportmenship between the two teams never seen before... Good to see that.

Good things to come next year for sure! Just need the newer line to bulk up and work out hard during the off season for strength to open some holes/lay good blocks for those soon to be seasoned weapons.

Your right MRBIGBY! Their defense is kinda weak but they have played a bunch of pretty good teams, but Their offense will put up a lot of points. Good luck Friday and I hope injury free.(when we played them # 45 had 2 catches for minimal gain and they only scored 7 points on offense but he did run a kick off back for a touch down, like I have said before you stop him you have a good chance to win)

Thanks.... What team are you with/support if you don't mind?

On weaker defenses mTp can put the points up as well... 35 plus, so it may become a battle of offenses.... Though mTp can put up some defense, so they may stop #45 just enough to get ahead when it counts. I've seen them contain some good backs.

GO TIGERS!

GO TIGERS!

I'm from Lewis Co my friend, In my opinion, the first one to 40 wins! ( they will line #45 up more at WR than anywhere else)

mTp (Gill) intercepts pass intended for #45, read the QB well, jumps high for ball..... 6 plays later.... Crawford to Martin pass for another Tiger TD!.... Conversion failed.

5:18 left in the 2nd qtr.....

mTp....... 19

E.H........... 0

Bad news for mTp... #5 Smith pads off looking at shoulder.

    • Honestly the A.D. may be powerless at Maryville to some degree versus other schools. I know he has his hands full with GoFan and all the stupid surprises just from the emails he sends out during the season.
    • Harriman was better than what I anticipated. They had good skill guys and a QB that’s gonna make a lot of teams look silly. They had some silly pre snap penalties but it’s just spring and I guess that’s expected.    Oneida looks the part. They are big upfront and got a stable of backs that’s gonna carry them this year. They have a few playmakers at receiver also. They have a new receiver that has only played basketball till this year and he is very athletic. The question is can we find a QB to consistently get them the ball. They played 2-3 kids there and none looked great but they didn’t look awful either. The  defense is gonna be tough again but it’s very early and a lot can change between now and the fall.     It was good just to get out and watch some ball. I don’t know if Oneida has the team to win the region this year but just what I saw tonight I think they may be in the conversation come November.
