Well, I missed 3 of the 16, but all of my 2nd round winners are still alive.

Missed the Manassas upset pick against Camden (so hard to gauge Memphis teams since they rarely play outside of Memphis).

Missed the Johnson County upset (7 over 2).

Missed the Sul.No./PF 4 vs. 5 mild upset.

Picked the CAK and Tyner upset wins as I'm sure many did.

Still feel good about my 2nd round picks.

I know Gerry Bertier will probably have his contest again, but here are my guesses.

Quad 1

Alcoa over York

Sul. No. over PF

CAK over GP (upset)

CD over JC

THEN

Alcoa over Sul.No.

CAK over CD (upset)

THEN

Alcoa

Quad 2

Upperman over GC

Tyner over SC (upset)

ND over Cascade

PC over Sequatchie

THEN

Tyner over Upperman (big upset)

ND over PC (upset)

Then

Tyner

Quad 3 (tough one)

CPA over WHH

East over LA

West over EH

Fairview over Harpeth

THEN

CPA over East

Fairview over West

THEN

CPA

Quad 4 (guesswork)

LC over Fairley

Man over Camden (upset)

HC over SG

Westview over JCM

THEN

LC over Manassas

Westview over HC

THEN

LC

Semis

Alcoa over Tyner

CPA over LC

Finals

Alcoa over CPA (Head over heart. Can't pick against a team that's been there so much)

Your Tyner pick is BOLD. Not so sure that round one was an upset (CAK too for that matter) unless you are strictly going off seeding, but round 2 and 3 definitely is for Tyner. I hope your right.

You are right that I am using the term upset based on seeding. I'm sure most people picked CAK and Tyner. 13-3 in the first round is really not that great due to so many mismatches, but doubt if many picked much better.

I don't think that 11-0 teams sneak up on anyone. Just saying….

I think Lewis Co being a small country town gets over looked or maybe we just don't get as much praise as CPA because they are from Nashville and have more media coverage but that's ok CPA is very deserving of the attention they get, we'll just worry about taking it one game at a time like we have all yr.

Another reason is that historically there have been several smaller town teams like LC and Fairview (Cheatham Co., Camden, Smith Co., for example) that have had great regular seasons and a high seed that have been beaten (in some cases badly) by CPA, Goodpasture, etc. in the playoffs. I am NOT saying that will happen this year, but it has happened a lot in the last few years, so there is a perception that exists. At this point, anything can happen except in Quad 1 where Alcoa will roll.

    • That is absolutely not the truth.  Few if any college coaches or school administrators want to be in the middle of legal proceedings if there is any way possible to avoid being caught in the middle.  With that being said I have two questions: 1.  Why would a coach remove any player from the team for using the F WORD?  Yes, I fully understand the player must be held accountable for her actions.  Maybe extra running and even a one game suspension but if every kid or coach that used improper language was kicked on the team or fired, they would have no players or coaches available to play the games. 2.  If there was truly another player or coach that witnessed this situation, and they agree with the player then by all means the coach should be held accountable for their actions.
    • 1st round exit?        For real ?!?!?!                     Oh wait.....    are we talking band or football?
    • Assistant football staff still the same? Any replacement for Brian Beaubien? Who will be the DC? Will there be anything going on this spring with football? I go watch practice often.
    • Their feeder programs are in the best shape they've ever been.
    • The definition of what happened to the ex-coach is ambiguous. The school said they were going in a different direction and thanked her for her service as coach. Apparently, coaches in Warren County operate on one-year agreements of some type. Rumors are that she was asked to resign, and refused. Whatever happened, it appears that the school system did not renew the one-year agreement with the ex-coach to come back for another season. One and done tenure as coach. Stotts has been a guidance counselor at the high school in Warren County. Several years ago, the former girls coach who is now an AD and assistant principal dismissed Stotts from his staff on the first day of the season. That reality made the hiring of Stotts a mystery to many people in Warren County.
