NCS guys - if we win the toss, do we defer as usual?

 

I say take ball and go score first. If Swo is right about UC ball control and they don't cough it up (highly unlikely), we might not get our first series till 2:00 in the 1st Quarter. UC has made 78% of their turnovers when they were losing on the scoreboard. That Veer seems to become "veery" sloppy when panic sets in.

I think we take the ball and establish what we want to do on offense. With the veer, I believe we would want to limit their offensive possessions.

Add to that scenario a team trying to run a triple option, add the punishment factor (#52, #50, #58, and #44 dishing out slobber knockers every down) and the implied odds increase dramatically.

 

 Prediction: UC fumbles at least five times tonight.
