hooptroop
Love the Annie reference... It's not that I have a "no big deal" attitude.... I'm just not letting this ruin my day. How about....build a bridge and get over it! Coleman has moved on, and Forrest needs to also.

notredame66
right. an adult who breaks his promises and a group of innocent kids should be held to the same standard. thanks for playing. they are equally culpable. I get it now.How did he break a promise? Did he sign his life to be coach a FHS? Yes he may have talked about FHS in the future with him and the players for 2014 but can you blame someone wanting much better pay and a chance to coach at a higher level???Would you do the same for your family if offered more $$$ and to grab a " higher position" ? Sure not easy for the guy to leave the school he graduated from and for the most part probably hsve a coaching job for many seasons even if he had a losing record-sorry 2A to 6 is a big jump where he can get his name out and it won't be easy as he wil be coaching against 2 head coaches at Indy and CHS that own gold balls (Blade&Rector) in 11aaa pressure is to win and win now as you can see with the recent coaching Merry go round in that district ....... So congrats to the guy for a promotion and a chance to lead SHS

notredame66
He applied to the position and went thru their process which probably took months. To say he was disingenuous and probably distracted during Forrest's playoff run is an understatement. Maybe had his heart been in it they could have made up some of those 12 points which decided the 3 reg season losses.Bitter? I know interview was well after the equipment was in storage for next season - maybe his class schedule took his mind off the game, perhaps the low pay, maybe his dog got runned over or perhaps the better team won? Blaming a man for wanting to improve his life for his family is not wrong and sorry to say FHS to 11AAA is like leaving the minors for the pros..... You need to get over this and worry bout the future head coach !

He was not pursued or interviewed until well after the playoffs were over.

SummaryJudgment
the pros who went 1-10 last year? 1-9 actually. I heard there were well over a hundred applicants for the job. I read today the number was 150. So CBC must be something special and the job must be very attractive for him to beat out that many coaches for the position.
