Tronado
D2 (106 & 120) wins two weights D1wins 12........ placers....no comparison..look at the kids that took third in d11, would not have qualified for d1. I think D2 wins 160 as well. 138 is in play as well. Edited February 19, 2014 by Tronado
Taxman
-113-Murphy v Novarrro- Murphy wins. King (106) of FR beat Novarro. Murphy is better than King; -138- Connell -Russo- Connell wins; -152- Sutherland over Warren; -160- Popp (One of the best in TN P4P) over Dooley; -182- Parker v Soloman is a toss up. Leaning toward Soloman.

TD2
sorry no way.. 138 may hang.. but at 160# the d11 champ would not be in the top 6. look at the history and the numbers. Popp is a good wrestler, but he would not be in the to 6 in DI. Garret Alexander did not even place, Cotton did not place....you think Popp could? 2nd place Naughten.... he got pinned three times in the first period by the D1 champ. Popp is a great kid and a good wrestler, but he is no where close to Kingensmith that took second or Alexander that did not place.

TD2
your obviously a Baylor guy and that's ok ...... 145, 152, & 160 the D!! champs don't even make the top 5. Look at the numbers. D1 145 Hamilton dominates Sutherland or Popp. look at the history. Pop is a great wrestler, as is Sutherland, but they would have to have a great tournament to place in D1, 145# no comparison. History speaks for itself. TD2
Who did he loose to this year? Who did he beat of significance? Naughton is a great kid and hard nosed, but he never made it out of the first period with Dooley (3 times). Did Popp ever wrestle SD, Cleveland, Bradely, or Walker Valley....none of which placed in the d1 side. I would think that he would run into one of them in the chatt. area. WrestlingGod
Popp can compete well on a national level. He is close to Oliver and Debien's level.Oliver pinned Debian 3 times last year. Let's just be clear here, NOBODY in the state is remotely close to Oliver. The closest would be Murphy. He's a Fargo AA too with Debian. But we haven't had a champ there since Jordan Leen. To even suggest that Popp is on the same national level as a Fargo champ is a joke.

He put Alexander on his back 4 times and cut him once. Alexander fished the whole match. Popp placed 4th at Powerade Invitational in PA last year as a Junior, which is a FloNationals event, and he's much better this year than he was last year.
