Wasn't sure what they had returning, Pujo. That's the main reason for starting this. Hoping to get some input from you guys on returning starters and other factors I don't know about. Unfortunately I don't send out forms to all coaches, so I rely on you guys to form an opinion about programs I'm not familiar with. Thanks buddy.

No problem Freeagent, Hampton was very young and inexperienced at nearly all the skill positions last season. Nearly all return with a year of varsity experience this year. QB will be a JR with a year under his belt, he has a great shot of breaking school records in rushing and throwing the ball, special kid and a very hard worker. Both tailbacks will return, one will be a soph and the other a JR, Both quality backs who also catch the ball extremely well. Our leading receiver will more than likely break the schools receiving record will be a returning senior. They also have some depth at running back and receivers who can make plays. Got about 6 returning lineman who either started or got varsity experience. Smallest lineman is around 220.Should have alot of depth in the line. 2a is gonna be pretty loaded this year so top 10 will be good teams. If Hampton has a few young guys step it up and they can stay fairly healthy, they could be one of um. This in my opinion will be the best field of 2a teams weve seen in several years.

Adamsville lost a lot in #7, hard to replace a back like that . But after the spring game with Lexington it looks like they have some promise for next season !

#7's only come around about once every 10 or 15 years! I think top 4 in West Tn will be TCA, Huntington, Trenton and Adamsville in no particular order. Probably TCA and Teenton in Quad 4 and Huntington and Adamsville in Quad 3. I'm sure Eagleville and Collinwood will have a say before it's over.

I think the preseason favorites will be Trousdale and TCA in state championship. Lots can happen between now and then. TCA has all starters back on offense but 2 and all defensive starters back but 1. TCA has had a couple of key injuries due to basketball and baseball but should fully recover by FB playoffs. I understand Trousdale has all of their skill players back and most of their linemen. I'm sure there will be three or four teams that will be heavy challenges for those two teams and it's going to be fun to watch it develop.

Its not out of the question for Trousdale to end up in the west. And Collinwood is 1a.

    • I am going to assume you are not a lawyer, and most reasonable lawyers would not say the lawsuit has a zero percent chance in court. I agree with you that a coach has the ability to dismiss anyone from a team. However, Ms. Winfree was never presented with the opportunity to present her witnesses and have them tell the coaches and administrators what they heard. A lawyer could better explain the lawsuit and the grounds to you. Before you start making wild assumptions about the lawsuit, would it be too much to ask that you do a little legal research first? The lawsuit is dealing with due process, loss of property, and defamation.   You can read the lawsuit here: https://bdnewsletter.files.wordpress.com/2024/04/doc-1-complaint-filed-4-18-2024.pdf
    • The administration took the path of backing the coach and whispering to people that the kid was a problem. The reality is that the kid was never a problem on a team or classroom. The player says she has witnessed who back her not saying the f-word.  Why did the coach make that story up and other stories? I am not Sigmund Freud and do not have an answer for the ex=-coach's behavior..
    • I think they have they coach they want close to being done. I guess we will all see how this plays out. I hope the hire a good one. There are some players in the box for the next coach to work with.
    • Going to grundle Troy Fleming?
    • I agree I don't think it will go to trial either, but I feel like that will be because no judge would deem this to warrant a law suit... If the school board settles, they loose and all coaches and schools loose too.
