He should have a decision in the next few weeks. Think Missouri State-West Plains is the favorite, Columbia and Southwest TN also in his list. Grades are his issue, thats why he didnt sign in the late signing period

I hope he goes to a JC so he can transfer to a bigger school in two years. He has the talent.

Barford will be a in-state JC signee. He and the kid from East are teaming up with the #1 PG in JC and making a run at Hooch.

Just confirmed from South Side assistant boys coach that Jaylen Barford will be signing in the next week with Motlow State in Tullahoma. Good situation for him as he wont be asked to contribute heavy right away, as he will back-up the #1 ranked JUCO PG Dequan Miller. Also Terry Holt from East Nashville will be signing there as well.

Barford will start as the off ball guard. That team will play a 4 guard set. They will have to. Barford didn't sign to sit. He and T both were offered big roles. Considering the favt that they both were offered by the top 15 JUCOs in the country. While Barford had the bigger coaches looking at him in HS Holt was the better overall player. They both will blowout. Especially during these JUCO events this July.

So a deal was cut with regards to PT before he signed? Whatever happened to the idea that no deals will be cut and the best player will play?

Anyone that's been recruited knows you are told you will play. The difference in JUCO is scholarships are year to year. This will be that coach's first recruited team. You don't get top players in the state telling them they will sit on the bench.
