I actually think this game will be closer than most would assume. AE is still not the AE of old but the fact that they competed against Grace after being throttled by the Rams last year, and the AC game was closer last week, does show a mark of improvement by Coach Phillips' team... and I believe they are actually better than the two teams Fulton has played so far, both Powell and Bearden are down considerably from both of their very recent pasts.  Not a knock of Fulton, they can't help how the competition stacks up year to year when they schedule 2 year contracts.  With that being said, AE vs Fulton is always a fun game to watch for the pageantry, the emotions of the game, the competition, the bands, etc.. and i think Fulton wins this game 49-7.  Good luck and good health to both teams tonight!

And that's what some don't realize. They think because AE is 0-2 they suck. If AE's offense can have a break out game, tonight's game will be a game of surprises. But the players just need to quit talking and really come through tonight

I agree Turtle.... I saw that movie "Angels in the Outfield" too. With the right attitude and that warm feeling deep inside maybe there will be angels in the endzone, angels in the backfield, angels in the offensive line, and there had better be some angels in the secondary. Personally I'd love to see four quarters of football.

Go Falcons!

And a couple years ago this same type of chatter was being said about the Alcoa vs AE matchup and what happen? Ok go ahead and say it, "but that AE team was loaded!" It doesn't matter, anything can happen! Let's Go AE!

    • Best-of-three sectional series vs East Robertson at home starting Wednesday.  They put us out last year at this point.  Go Pirates!!
    • I don't believe they have anyone that is surbers caliber but a decent staff overall.
    • Richland plays at McKenzie on Wed.  Should be a good series.  Does Richland have good pitching?
    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
