Brentwood got a team this year. How many starters back. Station camp has all starters back.

Brentwood returns three of the top six in their rotation, chiefly they return their starting guards/wings: senior PG James McPherson, senior SG/PG Jalen Lawson, and senior wing/forward Grant Teichmann. The Bruins lost star forwards Andy Schumpert (playing football at Furman) and Jacob Adcock to graduation, so those are a couple tough shoes to fill across the frontcourt.

Brentwood's strengths this year will be: a) strong senior class (six seniors who all figure into the rotation); B) strong guard play; and c) excellent shooting once again. Senior reserve guards Ryan Hood and Ian Bennie have both made waves during the offseason for their ability to consistently knock down long shots. Lawson, Teichmann, Benny Bautista, Toe Bautista, McPherson and Tanner Tapp, in generally that order, are all (at least) very good shooters.

The frontcourt will be led by Tapp (Samford commit), a senior, who has played on two state Final Four teams and emerged during last year's postseason run. The X-factor on the whole team is junior forward Ahmad Arnold, who physically has the potential to be a bull in a china shop if he puts his mind to it. Junior post Lindee Hardee and sophomore center Christian (can't remember last name) are sure to figure into the forward rotation.

So anyways, they have some losses but I'm confident in the ability of this team to compete for a AAA Boro berth again. It will finally be exciting again in our district, since Franklin is likely to give Brentwood a run for its money in District 11-AAA (Franklin has the best returning player in the district: senior swingman/forward Garrison Matthews. Joe Critchlow ain't bad either.

Would be interested in hearing who Station Camp has coming back other than Anderton. I agree that Kyle is probably their best player and that they should win that district (not quite as competitive with Wilson Central rebuilding).

Station camp has mvp Kyle anderton (nc state football commit) ta Perry (vol state basketball commit) that's the seniors. Yalen don't call me Hurd (tsu has interest) keatan Dodson (limpscomb commit). That's the juniors. Bo Hodges (Vanderbilt interested) chase freeman (Georgia tech interest) Thomas camaro (Vanderbilt baseball commit). With 3 really good freshman. I also was told got several players that could start for other teams. Kyle told me the head coach said would have a great team.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
