No doubt Fulton is the team to beat brother, but on the right night anything is possible for the Devil's. My question is how long will it take for Kiffin to get thrown out of Alabama. I didn't look but I'm sure you had a nice little return video for him.

actually bro, i didnt. i had a few select words for him, but that's it. Im really over the whole kiffin thing now...sorta, kinda, a little, well, ok, maybe not, but what i mean is what is there to say really? sure, i coulda spent what little bit of money i have and bought a ticket for the game and went down there and hollered at him, but what would that have gotten me besides a broken heart after the game and a busted wallet....LOL. Now, my hope is ole kiffy will be at bama just long enough to get them in some sort of ncaa trouble, then they fire him....too little to late...how would that be for some poetic kiffy justice?

I am a firm believer in the fact that the Champs are the favorite until beaten. Fulton has earned that the last 2 years. So does the road to Cookeville run thru Fulton absolutely it does. However since 2009 if you want to play for a 4A Gold Ball there is 1 team that you have to beat and that is Greeneville. The winner of the Fulton/Greeneville game has produced 4 State Titles in 4 years. I saw a lot of resolve with the Greene Devils vs Signal Mountain. This group of Devils do not panic or point fingers at one another. They just stick with the game plan , play hard ,and keep getting after the opponent. In my opinion that is what it will take to beat Fulton. Playoff season is 1 week away and it is going to be a wild and crazy ride in the East. Go Greene Devils!

i agree with all but the finger pointing part. i was shocked to see one of our devils come off the field in the first half and complain about one of his teammates. I wont give the details, except for to say that it didnt appear to be a huge deal, only that this player in question was a bit disgusted at the play of another, which i guess is what you want to see in a player. My only request would be for the upset player to take issue with the player he was complaining about, instead of complaining to another player, who wasnt even playing in the game. In other words, "if you got something to say about me, say it to me" sort of deal. in the end on this night it didnt matter and probably doesnt matter in the grand scheme of this season, i just found it to be a little out of character of the person in question.....other than that, this teams has made great strides this season and seems to be coming together at the right time....time will tell....GO BIG GREENe

Elizabethton will sneak up on you this year if you aren't careful. They are the sleeper pick this year imo.

they wont sneak up on me....i am well aware of what those two, betsy in particlar bring to the table. South with its air attack, betsy with their ground game can definately cause some issue with anyone they face in the playoffs. Im pretty sure no coaches are overlooking or counting out either of them. They are both well on our radar. i cant wait man, this is gona be a fantastic playoff season...almost a shame to see anyone from quad 1 lose.....

I was in the stands and didn't see any pointing. However If you heard it I believe it and you are right should be taken up with the player in question and not another not even playing. I just think this team has a little more character than say the 2012 edition of the Devils. Talented as they were they seemed to crack with adversity where as the 2014 edition seems to stay poised. Poise is needed in the playoff's because the teams we will be facing are not BRAC teams and they will make plays on us. How we respond to it will tell us how far we will advance but I do like what I see with this team.

So my ideal scenario is for Alcoa to take care of business vs Catholic this Friday to win the district. Then for Catholic to beat Fulton in the playoffs. (If we beat Catholic, then Catholic beats Fulton, then that means Alcoa would beat Fulton right?)

The icing on the cake (not CAKe) will be for my next favorite team Greenville to beat Catholic and go on the win the state! (BVD, Can I be in the video?)

Alcoa 2014 3A state champs

Greenville 2014 4A state champs

Yeah, but you guys are overlooking South and Elizabethton, both of these teams are for real this year.

Those teams have NO chance vs Fulton. Don't know as much about Greeneville or Catholic, but if they play Fulton they will be beaten soundly. The 3 teams I mentioned are the three best. Edited by TheAmbassador

yah it would have been impossible for anyone in the stands to have noticed the incident and like i said, i really dont think it was even a big deal and i probably shouldnt have even mentioned it, it was just one guy being frustrated at another on a play. i cant wait to get out of the brac. sure its nice to have never lost a game and to know that as long as we're in the brac, unless we play all freshman, probably never would lose a game, but playing brac teams does no good for the Devils in more ways than one. Physically, these games are no challenge, mentally, the only challenge is staying "in the game" and lastly, these kids genuinely want to play good competition. they want to see how they measure up with the fultons, alcoas, maryvilles, catlicks and the likes.
