Freezing cold weather.

Fayetteville had 2 good plays, both fumble returns for TDs.

Otherwise they were owned.

when healthy, Forrest has improved over last year against every team.

Cascade- 2 pt loss at home last year, 14 pt win on the road this year

Eagleville- 7 pt loss at home last year, 14 pt win on the road this year

Page- 3 pt loss on the road last year, 1 pt loss at home in OT this year

Moore Co- 23-0 win at home last year, 41-0 win on the road this year

MTCS- 21-13 win on the road last year, 49-14 win at home this year

Fayetteville- 35-14 win on the road last year, 56-14 win at home this year

We're coming folks.

RK--not to be nit-picky, but both of our TDs were straight up take-aways from the Forrest running backs, and then runs for a touchdown.  No fumbles involved.  Forrest has steadily improved year to year, and should do well in the post-season.  Might have to balance the offense more passing/running, but your ground game was so successful, why mess with a good thing?  Good Luck Rockets!

Is there a stat for "straight up take-aways"?

Exactly.

The second ball was bouncing on the ground like a pinball. We must've fumbled 3-4 times in a row that series. So yeah, you're wrong.

We keep running over opponents, who, after the pick the grass and mud from their teeth, tell us we need to "balance the offense".

Ask MTCS if we were balanced. Oh, that's right, they rang y'all up for 55.

Whoa, easy big fella.  Your team is having success this year, and I wasn't dogging their effort or accomplishments.  I could be wrong on the second take-away, I was updating BallFrog and saw our boy running to the end zone from a pile of players.  If there isn't a stat for that, well, there could be.  I don't mind admitting I'm wrong, or at least not completely sure.  As for having a balanced offense, again, your team's run game was very strong, and you only put the ball in the air four, maybe five times.  I don't recall exactly.  And unless you're talking about some other MTCS team, that score was 22-17 this year.  They didn't put 55 on us.  Maybe the cold affected your memory.  Hope you get better soon.  Good luck against Riverside.

You're not talking about my tab at the concession stand are you?  It was about 55.

Was our onside kick Friday night on purpose or accident? Kicker has been steady kicking it deep all year with several touch backs.

With forrest leading 42-7 in the 3rd qtr, and pretty much dominating play, I hope it was not a called play and just a miss kick.  Strange how the rockets were ready for it though.  He didn't have any issues after the next two touchdowns, going deep each time.  I wonder. . . .

IT WAS A DIFFERENT KICKER!!!!! If I'm not mistaken that was his first of his career and he's a first year senior!!!! I can assure you it wasn't a called onside. And it's pretty apparent that 129 is a troll, not a Forrest fan.

Understood Truth.  I'll buy that.  Time to move on.  We wish you success tonight and in the next few weeks.  Thanks!

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
