What if both Melrose and East lose ... is White Station the RU in District 16?

If Melrose and East both lose, then White Station  would be RU with a 4-2 dist record, because if Melrose loses then WS wins cause they play each other. But I think they both win, so Melrose will be the RU.

Not sure who I'd rather make the trip to Paris - Memphis East or Melrose - assuming we are in fact in Quad 4 and the #2 seed. Seems like there is a possibility that Hardin or Millington or Munford could end up a #7 seed as well. Going to be a crazy finish!

Pretty sure Munford and Hardin are both undefeated in district and they play each other Friday. The winner will win the district and the loser will be runner up. So both will be seeded higher than 7th I would think.

The problem is that there are 7 teams that are currently slotted to be in Quad 4. If Melrose wins, they become runner up. That make 6 teams with either winner or runner up. Then you have to bring in either Lawrence County or a Clarksville school. I believe it unlikely that a Clarksville school will get in. So higher probability that LC comes west. That being the case, it bumps Melrose down to a 5 seed instead of 4, and so on until Memphis East (if they lose) will be the only team that's a wildcard in Quad 4, making them the 8 seed. Leaving only Millington and Hardin/Munford for the 6/7 respectively. Going to be interesting. But a couple of the games are tomorrow night, we'll know more then...

Kenwood should win tonight, and if they do they are in the playoffs

I agree. Even though I think Lawrence Co is stronger than a Kenwood, I just don't see Lawrence Co moving to quad 4 with a Clarksville school making it. If they don't and Tullahoma gets in, then I agree that they would move to quad 4.

Yes, I agree with you and Highlife. Kenwood should win, but Northeast is playing for pride and have what it takes to beat Kenwood - strong defense. I guess we'll find out tonight for sure though...

    • This scenario resonates with the dynamics observed in my hometown of Hartsville. The undue influence of politics on high school sports remains a pervasive issue, detracting from the integrity of athletic programs.  The proliferation of individuals driven by a thirst for power inevitably precipitates the downfall of any program. It appears that we are currently grappling with similar challenges akin to those faced by Greenback. Please accept my condolences for your ordeal.
    • From what we are hearing on the reservation we will be lucky to beat sunbright. And trust me I am not throwing stones at them because they play their hearts out. It’s a tuff game every year, just like Oakdale but when you have small numbers that’s what you get. And then you add in that you loose two top linemen and the starting qb!!!! Along with a running back!  We are in deep trouble.
    • The coach's departure ensued due to the absence of backing from the board members, compounded by the unsettling revelation that one board member persistently surveilled him, verging on conduct akin to harassment. Furthermore, it appears that meeting the expectations of this community remains an unattainable feat, as even a hypothetical scenario of clinching five consecutive state championships would likely not suffice to quell discontent. The current situation is fraught with complications, primarily stemming from applicants for the position who have cultivated relationships with board members known to have opposed the former coach.
    • Yes it big when you only have 30 players last year and that is counting 8th graders it is huge!!!!!!! And this year they are starting a middle school team and the 8th graders will be on it. Until their season is over. That is a plus to having a K-12 school. The eighth graders can play on high school football. And yes we have used them a lot in the past few years.
    • Was the Coach fired? I thought I had read here or somewhere that he had elected to leave himself and pretty sure some folks on here had already been eluding to his departure well in advance of him actually acknowledging it. Or did the principal can him and then in turn get canned him/herself for this action?  From the sounds of it, i don't know if this or the Clinton situation is more of a mess.
