Play Day at Polk County

Does anyone know teams coming or have a schedule for this event this Saturday?

The mighty Lady Cherokees aren't playing any AAA teams for Play Day? Are the other AAA teams afraid of those all state freshmen?

 

I told the Fire and Central coaches what you said about Central recruiting those freshmen and they fell down on the ground laughing. We will see how awesome they are on Nov. 25.

McMinn did not look bad but I think they will finish fourth at best in their district.

 

Walker Valley was probably the best team at the playday. I did like how Sequatchie kept up with them until dropping off in the fourth. Brainerd had a lot of talent but if they play the way they did in a real game they will be in first quarter foul trouble. Slaps and hacks on nearly every shot, reaching in and bumping on ballhandlers constantly.

Yea just like they didn't recruit the Lynn girl to come play at central or Jordan from EK Baker ????? The freshman aren't where they need to be but they will be in due time. Of course we are playing the great McMinn Central on November 25th....cant believe they would even stoop so low to play McMinn. McMinn isn't worthy of being on the same floor. Should we take our shoes off before we enter the round house? It is sacred ground isn't it?

Some of the players of the McMinn freshmen asked to play at Central but were turned away. The way you keep going on about those freshmen and your jealousy of Central you must be the parent of one of the freshmen that got rejected.

The rematch is Jan. 12 at your basketball court by those empty bleachers. By that time your all state freshmen should be playing much better and our Chargerettes will only win by 20.

What I get a kick out of is the card the Central people always play in all sports. Well McMinn is so much bigger and they should win. That argument doesn't hold water with me. Bottom line is that in basketball especially girls Central has had better talent. Until McMinn gets its program back to the days of when Tucker was there they will continue to struggle against the good teams like Central. In my opinion McMinn is on track with the current freshman group and the girls playing at the elementary schools that feed McMinn.

Another interesting point is if the school board implements the zoning rule they have discussed it would force the kids to play for the school they are zoned for. There would be no more going to EK Baker or ACMS and going to Central.
