I haven't really seen heart all year

It was definitely there last week and flashes throughout the season. Just my opinion, At some level they seemed to know they hadn't worked hard enough to reach the pinnacle of previous years and therefore played like they had to bare that burden in their game.

I'm talking about passion for the game nagging others around you want it, being a vocal leader.

Good skill people but a lack of strong line play was Giles weakness.

Why ecu. You just nailed it! The D Line had 1, that's one, returning starter. They played 2 1st time seniors, 3 1st time juniors, 2 sophomores, & a freshman.  The O-Line had 1 starter. Played juniors, sophomores, & freshmen. They all fought hard and got better as the season went on but it starts in the trenches. We got the size. Faster + stronger + technique guys and we'll start talking about the 2015 run. ..... :ugeek:

Speed class = faster. Get back to the weight room and summer strength program = stronger. Practices that last past 4 in the afternoon and you have time to work on technique at every position. Work so hard everyone is vested to the point Nobody mails it in on Friday nights.

    • Yeah, we came up short. I remember we threw a ball over the middle to #5 Guymon? and he came up short of the sticks. Gave em he&& for a bit though.
    • Doe dee doe doe…..hmmmmmmm one of those players can run faster than my lawnmower when I put it in 5th gear turbo.  You can bet the lawnmower on that.
    • Yeah I am on board and plan on coming down from the Ridge for some home games, great Friday night atmosphere there.  I'm really hoping SC can get them back going and have some success for those fans and community.
    • Yep I was field level on the scoreboard end throwing ball with Benny when we had that brief lead. Everybody got very excited but it was short lived as Murvil regrouped and went into machine mode. But yeah,  that hit sounded like the crack of a black powder rifle being fire.  I believe Dozier took one like that as a Soph up at Greeneville after on olay block.
    • Ole Benny boy lol. I forgot about Harder. He was tough as crap. He graduated in ‘09. I went to the OR/Maryville game that year (great game, btw) and he collided with Jacob West (I think was his name) and you could hear it clearly at the top of the visitor bleachers. Man, it was a stick. He could lay some wood son. All those guys were tough, Elliott included.
