Well the CB actually covered the slot that ran to the flat. They were in a goal line situation and the safety was covering the eligible TE #86. Not #85 that was ineligible as had been practiced during the week.

 

But to add to this comment about covering people. Rhea county had nice coverage on the last play of the game! It's over now! There were at least 5 penalties that kept the momentum on RCs side in the game. Or the game was over at the 14 point mark for RC. Throwing to an ineligible TE was one and the other was the PI against west when the same play the #85 jumped offsides and stopped on the play as he knew he was offsides. But who cares about those 2 calls. If it makes you feel better that you go away with those 2 calls. Good for you!

 

Let me remind you that the inadvertent whistle was west football as well! As RC threw a screen and had OL down field and threw the ball past the LOS. That wasn't called though. We are happy about the win but the game was officiated horribly and on West side the calls were game changers!

If that is the case, which he is clearly on the ball, then there are not enough men on the LOS... However, you just keep looking at it the way you see it.

Bingo. If he wasn't covered up, we're looking at an illegal formation penalty.
