I had to leave, but I'll be back Monday. How did Maryville look tonight?

Maryville looked so so in first half but broke it open in 3rd quarter against Scott. Jake Headrick came off the bench and by my count was 5 for 5 on treys in the third quarter alone. Rebels have a boatload of guys that can shoot the three ball...... tonight it was Jake's turn to do most of the damage.

Scott is a scrappy team, and their point guard Stephen Butts (#10) can shoot well. Good job Rebels! Who's next for y'all?

Actually what was so funny Daddy Headricks batteries went dead in his mic right when Jake hit the 2nd 3!! He was looking for batteries and Jake hit the 4th one so me and Mama Headrick yell "Leave the batteries out!!!!" Haha fun times!! Great people Edited December 28, 2014 by rebelwoman87

Maryville can shoot for sure, and they look a LOT deeper this year than last.

True true. Rumor has it we might not be playing William Blount again after all. Evidently, they didn't want a rematch, so they'll try to find someone else, but Alcoa will still play at 3:45 Monday, regardless of opponent.

True true. Rumor has it we might not be playing William Blount again after all. Evidently, they didn't want a rematch, so they'll try to find someone else, but Alcoa will still play at 3:45 Monday, regardless of opponent.

No not Jakes personality at all. He and a player was tied up with the ball and I guess the refs thought Jake was too aggressive. They were T'in people left and right today!!

I hate those picky technical fouls where it seems like the ref just wants to be known. Oh well, at least MHS is on to the semis. If their hot shooting keeps up, they might win their own tournament again like they did 2 years ago.
