55-50. UC really shot themselves in the foot with turnovers and a few missed point blank shots. GC didnt have a great game either. The defense broke down at times and UC got some good looks but couldnt convert. Bri played good tonight, and so did Erin. All in all, good win for GC, still unbeaten at 13-0, but can still improve.

Also just got bracket for HUB classic. South Side girls and Gibson County girls could meet in the semifinals on Dec 29th.

Ugly game. Credit UC for making Gibson more uncomfortable than they have been all year. Game was never really in doubt the second half but UC never quit. Now on to Murray and the Callaway County Christmas Tourney.

Just got back. Raven Fair played really well. UC looked good on defense, rebounded well but didn't shoot well other than Fair. Also had several TO's. GC played better in the second half on offense. Defense for GC played well but UC owned the boards. But anyway GC didn't play their best game and won.

If Union City had one other person that could consistently score besides Raven, they'd be in a threat this year in Single A. If Raven keeps this pace up, she should be nominated for Ms. Basketball in Single A this year. She's averaging around 20 a game and keeping her team in every game.

 

If Gibson is going to be a threat to win it all in Single A this year, they need to pick it up and be beating these teams by 15-20 points. There's a lot of talent on this team, but there is a lot of inconsistency as well. Gibson is at least 15 points better on paper than every team in this district. Whether they decide to be 15 points better than every team is another story.

Inconsistentency. This team in a nutshell. Good thing is they will get tested here soon with the Murray tourney and South Side potentially in the HUB classic. They may need to take a loss here and there to really get better. Going undefeated into the postseason might not be good. Ask Haywood how that turned out last year.

Graves Co. is going to be a good test Thursday for Gibson. Graves Co.(KY) is 4-1 right now with their only loss to a very good Murray HS team. I saw Graves play last year and they were a very solid team last year as well. It'll be interesting to see how these 2 tournaments pan out for Gibson.
