Region 7- Clarksville Triangle

I hate to break it to everyone that thinks Rossview is the first district loss Clarksville has received in 20 years. Next time many of you visit the CHS wrestling building try to find a 2004 District Champion plaque. A Johnny Masters coached Kenwood team handed them a loss in District duals. 10 years is a long streak but credit needs to be given where it is due. The Kenwood teams of the late 90's and early 2000's were tough teams and barely lost to some of the best teams Clarksville ever produced. Congrats to Rossview for their first win ever over Clarksville High in Wrestling, 14 years in the making!

The question should be . . .Can anyone beat the number two from the other district ?

are you serious? not firing any shots but that is a rediculous question. if you have been around wrestling any length of time you know that it comes down to mind set and inches. bottom line is a scrub can beat a stud any day of the week at any given time. all it takes is one wrong move and one good counter move. now dont get me wrong do i think wilson central and beech are good teams? yes, but i also think that rossview and westcreek are good teams as well. honestly i think whoever comes out of region 7 places this year in the state duals. the region 7 duals is going to come down to this: coaching/scouting with match ups being precise and ALL HEART from all 4 teams. yes thats right, im saying that rossview, beech, and westcreek can compete with wilson central if the situation is right! your previous question is absurd Sir. let me answer your question... YES

wilson central will take the region crown barring a big upset. But they can be beaten..I just don't see it happening. I agree however that whoever takes 2nd has a great chance at placing at state duals. Region 7 is strong this year. Should have a strong showing at traditional state as well with quite a few medalists Edited by Bump11

First, no team in Region 7 can beat Central's lineup period !

They can be defeated, but not in their Region.

Now, they may decide to protect a few of their wrestlers

(Head to head) today to ensure good seeds at individual

Regionals? This could make the score look closer, but

I wouldn't tell anyone that they will lose tonight.

All I was trying to say is this...You don't go into a match with the mindset that oh well I might as well just lay down because I ain't good enough to even come close. I mean if that's the mindset then why wrestle at all? If the kids don't step out on that mat trusting the work they put in with confidence then what's the point? Every single kid in the state can be beaten, point case and example: Dan Gable, I mean look, I study the match ups day and night in Tennessee and in other states. Studs get beat by no names every single day. Now will Wilson Central probably be number one in Region 7? Of coarse, their record says so, but can every single kid in their team be beat? of coarse. Let the kids wrestle, let them have goals and achievements, but I say don't let them get defeated before the whistle even blows. Wrestling is the realest sport that anyone could ever be a part of, I'm my opinion it's life changing and life teaching. So with that being said you gonna tell little Johnny he can't be president someday? So you can't tell me that every single true opponent doesn't have a shot of being number one in this sport.

    • This whole situation is bonkers. You don’t just kick your star player off the team just because you heard them say the F word; the coach definitely had something against the player, or somebody definitely did. Also, nobody has brought up the idea that the school blackmailed the college to get the college to withdraw the scholarship offer, not to mention that the coach who kicked her off is no longer even with the program; they were fired. I think this is a pretty easy lawsuit. I don’t know if she should deserve that much money, but I think she should get enough money for a full-ride scholarship if she cannot get one after this situation.
    • Oh yeah, I’m sure you are different people just always on the same thread for some reason, always agreeing with each other, perhaps just a bunch of dorks who would like to ###### and moan about high school football coaches do a lot of other students, so you make a football team and get a yell at them. When they do something wrong, but I’m sure you don’t like that, do you?   and I’m sure I’m aware of where you get information. A teacher who was on the coaching staff but was fired after the new coaching and staff came in and realized he actually had to start taking his assistant job a little bit more seriously than just wanting to make a little extra cash on the side, hardly even showing up to most practices, should’ve left with his buddy to go to Farragut. I’m sure he could get him a defensive coaching job, but I doubt he will be there in three years. Looking at the way Farragut is currently going.
    • It may be hard to believe but there’s more people than me that think you guys are a bunch of losers.    I’m sure the coaching staff, yourself included, cursed at a bunch of high school students. Nobody could name more than 3 coaches on staff due to the constant turnover.
    • That's complete BS.  Nobody at ACHS has access to CHS student records unless a transfer is made from CHS to ACHS.
    • Trez's last scandal has died down, so I guess this is there opportunity to be the best 4A team playing in 2A a la Sissy MTN.  At least they won't be in a Z-district with 1a teams in the regular season.
