District 11A and 12A predictions?

Loretto lost two players from last year.  All of our pitching is back plus some young ones to help out.  Loretto has more depth at pitching than I can ever remember them having.  Also, the District tournament is at Loretto this year.  Could be a good year for the Mustangs.

Summertown Columbia Academy scrimmage tonight. Summertown 18 C.A. 1. But way too early to put any real weight on that. Summertown did look pretty good defensively. Pitching pretty good, but have a bunch of room for improvement. Very little practice to this point

I'm sure S'town used several pitchers being it was a scrimmage, but who were the main pitchers? How is Riddle looking this year? He was a fine pitcher in the few games he pitched last year!

Landrum-Beard-Riddle-Ambrose and the Freshman Ballinger all pitched.

I think Summertown is more than solid pitching. Had some big time hits as well. If we can build from this, I think we will do well. Landrum, Beard & Ambrose are the top 3. Not sure how they will fall in the rotation.

Summertown vrs Lawrence Co wet but was able to play. A few errors by both teams but Summertown out hit Lawrence County to win 9-1.

Next Monday(23rd) at 4 Loretto meets Summertown at Vanderbilt. Fun venue, huge rivals, big district game.

Is the Thrasher kid atr Summertown getting any playing time? He has a good arm as well. Im not going into detail, but this kid should have been on the Babe Ruth team that has been to the World Series the past 2 years. Being that most of those players were from Loretto, they should be very good for the next few years.

Summertown vs. Perry County - yesterday at Summertown: Game 1: 6-1, Summertown. Game 2: 9-0, Summertown. Today at Linden: 13-0, Summertown. The Eagles are looking GREAT!

The Eagles are looking pretty good to this point. 7 wins 1 loss. That loss was by 1 run, and were pitching down in the rotation. Should develop into another good season, our big bats started slow, but are coming on now. Biggest test of the season coming next week against Loretto! Games every day next week. How are the Mustangs and the rest of D-12 looking?
