a coach would be hard pressed to come into liberty and lose...if he can put up 2 TDs a game on offense he'll have a winning record...too much talent returning

 

right now liberty only has 9 games on the schedule...maybe haywood will add them

I teach in Jackson. As far as coaching goes..... They have sub par supplements as compared to other districts, little community and parental support, no 4th block athletics and sub par facilities (although Liberty is the exception because they are relatively new). Not an ideal situation for a big name coach to come into. But I like Liberty. I wish them luck.

 

Assistants in Jackson for football start at $4000 and top out at $5000.....throw me a few numbers that make that seem sub par except in Milan. What are some better paying districts? Facilities?....Liberty's miniature EVERYTHING in their fieldhouse seems pretty sub par if you have seen it.

$4-5k for all the time an assistant put in is pitiful. Doesn't even come up to minimum wage. But I thought we were talking about head coaches or at least I was.

 

As far as facilities go, I said Liberty is the exception. JCM doesn't even have a field. North Side and South Side are in sore need of renovation. Many teams in west tn have better facilities and I can do a run down if you like but is it really necessary??

$4000 as an AC is not bad. You have to remember this is on top of the teaching salary.

I am a music teacher and receive a supplement that is almost that much and I promise I don't put in near the hours of an assistant football coach. $4000 is pitiful for what they do.
