Ravenwood over John Overton (may not be an upset)

Munford over Bartlett

 

As usual some good teams won't be at the Fling this year due to Elimination Monday.

Elimination Monday is the WORST!! Region needs to be 4 Team Double Elimination!  It has got to change!!

Every year you have sour grapes from teams who choke in the region semi's/sectionals. Not a perfect system but great teams find ways to win. Simple as that.

Yea, really confused why several sites show Bartlett losing. The final was Bartlett 6, Munford 3. Bartlett will face Arlington at home Wednesday night. I believe Bartlett is throwing the same pitcher that won District 14 tournament MVP. Should be another good game in that rivalry

Coachrop is right. I would add that the regular season district champ shoud get an automatic bid to regions and then the tourney winner as well. If regular season champ wins tourney, then the 2nd place tourney team advances. It's crazy that the regular season can mean so little and this one Monday night game means so much.

Sorry about that, I posted what the coacht scoreboard was showing this morning. I stand corrected.

 

Also Smyrna just knocked out D8 Champ Lawrence County 5-2. Probably a minor upset. Congrats to Coach Vitter's Bulldogs for advancing to the Regional finals... I think they host Columbia tomorrow.

My understanding is that sevier county didn't start their number one pitcher. If so, Was this a case of a coach outsmarting himself trying to think to far ahead?
