How do we control all the recruiting in public schools?

And for the 29,853 time in a row all private schools recruit or they would have no students. No public buses drop kids off at a private school, no parents drops kids off that are not admitted. They are 100% recruited. Some give hardship schoolarships, some give athleti schoolarships. Neither of which public schools do.

There is an obvious recruiting problem in high school sports.  For the 9th time in a row a recruiting violation was committed by a public school.  Marshall county is the latest culprit: http://www.examiner.com/article/marshall-county-hit-with-probation-for-violating-recruiting-rule?cid=rss

The recruiting violations was " giving an rising freshman a ride to summer practice". According to the letter, the player might not have been enrolled. I have always thought that you could play anywhere you wanted as a freshman.

Just an observation: Why the sudden increase in public school recruiting violations? Is it just coincidence that it the violations are uncovered during the debate over the public/private split?

Any school caught breaking recruiting rules or are open zones should have the 1.8 mutiplier added to their enrollment just like all private schools do.  Private acknowledge who they are and play within the rules, thats why they have the highest multiplier in the nation.

now if a public school was touring kids around the school and athletic facilities before they lived in zone and enrolled, busted.

If a coach drives that prospective student to visit Lipscomb, busted....just like Marshall county did.  If parents drive the prospective student to Lipscomb, rules followed and that player would be valued as .8 higher then a public school player.

Student athlete in question was already enrolled and had a class schedule at the school he was getting a ride to, neither party involved student or coach knew or thought they was breaking a rule. To say recruiting here is laughable and it's certainly sad when this same team had to finish runner up in their region to CPA last season because we all know they don't "recruit" right

We can all assume they do, but that would be wrong.  The TSSAA is looking into all valid recruiting allegations (see the 9 public school violations) when people bring them to the TSSAA....not just word of mouth.  If you have proof that CPA recruits, by all means show it to the TSSAA.

So what you are really saying is that private schools are just way better at hiding it since you keep bringing up the 9 public schools violations. And for the record I think CPA has a great football program and a very classy coaching staff, Every coaching staff picks up kids and takes them home from practices so this "violation" was more example of a rival school upset and butt hurt the kid didnt want to be a part of their program that is headed in the wrong direction so they called it in or it would've never been an issue.

and for the 29,854 time in a row; Boogers kids werent recruited. So, that makes your %100 a bogus number. The reason no public buses drop kids off at ND is because its private. The first 8 years of their schooling at a PUB; a yellow bus came buy the driveway every day; they did not ride that bus because we chose not to put them on that yellow bus. They were hand delivered. We dropped them off at that PUB and there was an admissions office. ND did not recruit us and did not have to recruit us for obvious reasons; the PUBs made that decision for us. We chose to put them in a private school, we pay for it and they still dont ride the yellow bus. They drive themselves. We all know what the T$$AA is made up of, and we know who is getting busted for the violations. Not Pubs......

You have to take them goggles off UCM
