Pioneersports
I heard bye was a 3 point favorite, but according James Clark, WC could have beaten Cookeville if not for those 2 pesky plays.

statsdontlie
Wc needs to call at least 12 passing plays to help running game.if your going to leave starters in against Cookeville 3rd string in 4th still getting out played! Let some younger players in for some play time.like see 2nd string qb get some reps in these blow out's!

Let some younger players in for some play time.like see 2nd string qb get some reps in these blow out's! I see your point about getting playing time for the 2nd and 3rd string players. Typically, I would agree with that. For this situation, I think the coach is working on his 1st stringers getting playing time. He is starting from ground zero. WCPioneer23
In case you have not heard......WC does not have a number 2 or 3 qb... Have only 1 and he also plays defensive.. I guess they are wanting him to get hurt, then who will be qb Edited September 11, 2015 by WCPioneer23
Blaze45
Well with everybody getting a playoff shot, you about have to use your season as a chance to build depth , improve and develop your team. Just a thought...
Hubbard
Well with everybody getting a playoff shot, you about have to use your season as a chance to build depth , improve and develop your team. Just a thought... There will be better opportunities as this season progresses. In WC's position, I think they are trying to get the 1st team as much experience as possible early in the season. I doubt WC is building for a playoff run this year. I imagine this year is about system implementation. Let the 1st string lay the groundwork then bring in the 2nd and 3rds as the season moves along. All a guess on my part but I have no reason not to trust the coach at this point.
rickgrimes
The most important thing this coaching staff needs to do is get the juniors, sophomores and freshman to trust them. This junior class has had a different head football coach every year since they were in 7th grade. It's hard to buy into a system when history tells you that you will have to learn a new one next season. I hate it for the 10 seniors on this years team but if you're planning to stick around and build a program, you need to be working on the players that you will have coming back. I do however have the utmost respect for this group of seniors, because unlike one of their former teammates they chose to stick it out and play for the town and school they grew up in. Loyalty goes a long way in some folks book.

DCTIGERFAN
I see things are already starting to unravel. What else is new?
rickgrimes
I don't think things are "unraveling" as you seem to think. The kids are working hard and I haven't heard parents complaining. I just stated a fact about the revolving door that had been WC head football coaches really for the last 30 years. I have confidence in this staff and believe if left alone to do their jobs things will turn around. It took 30 years for the program to get in the shape its in, it's going to take time to get it right Edited September 12, 2015 by rickgrimes
