After watching the game film, my thoughts:

1) JPII had great size and very athletic

2) 4 NCS turnovers

3) JPII has a great QB who has a quick delivery and is extremely accurate.

4) NCS only threw the ball when everyone in the stadium knew it was coming. Very predictable.

5) NCS for the most part went toe to toe with JPII.

6) JPII's kicker had 3 FG's from 40+ yards, quite a weapon!

7) JPII COULD beat Union City. They are a great team when playing great 1A teams.

8) This loss is going to toughen up NCS even more and might be the best thing at this point to humble them and provide the spark to get them to Cookeville this year.

You're going to need more than field goals against Dresden, UC, Peabody, Huntingdon.....everyone except you probably knows who the top teams in the State really are....or at least the football minds do. I agree with #8....NCS should be humble losing to a 1-3 team? if CoachT is correct

Ken, Ken, Ken,

Haven't you heard?  There are 4-5 teams in the West that could beat the Titans, let alone some 1-3 second-rate D2 school.  Just ask 'em - they'll tell you.   ;)

And, oh yeah, they only play with what they got in their school district.  The Titans actually pay their players and those teams out West could still beat 'em. :roflolk:

I'm simply in denial I guess. Those West TN teams are just so superior and I should just accept it. I also failed to consider three of JPII losses were to some really weak teams no one has heard of. Brentwood Academy..Father Ryan.....Ensworth....never heard of them. Truthfully I just don't know how NCS can recover from this devastating loss...... (insert heavy dripping sarcasm here). stirring it up you almost stirred it up correctly, ncs does recruit, west TN does have 4 teams that will beat ncs and I might throw middle tenn team Wayne Co in the mix as well that will beat ncs which, hunt, wc, uc have all proven in last 4 years to do ..... whipped ncs. You are funny though if that's your goal. Edited by stangfan89
