Forrest v Cascade

And I remember a time when Cascade could have hung 80 on Forrest. Everyone goes through highs and lows. Enjoy your run while it lasts. Cascade will be back. Good luck the rest of the season.

The "run" will last for as long as this coaching staff is here. They appear to have a "plug and play" system, and if you know anything about the Jr. High and youth programs in CH, the "plugs" show no signs of dropping off, in fact, they'll probably be better than what they have now.

What a game last Fri

Did Forrest really score in 4 plays and 1:10, all runs?

Cascade's first drive ws a nice mix of plays, but they couldn't get 6. Forrest came right back and made is 14-3 and the rout was on.

Forrest starters could have scored 100.

Forrest JV played even with Cascade's varsity, and was whipping them in the trenches.

There was some def cheap shotting once the game was a blowout. Forrest's QB, also the punt returner, had caleld for a fair catch and was bludgeoned at short range. There was also some attempted spearing going on.

The kids know each other off the field, and there is respect there. Respect for Cascade's program, but these two teams are in very different places and headed in opposite directions.

Truth's point about the youth league in Chapel Hill is absolutely correct. Save a few isolated games here and there (I think they have lost 2 out of 12 games total in FOUR different age ranges/teams against 3 schools so far), CH looks to load and reload over the next 5-10 years and that is not an exaggeration. Keeping coaches in place is obviously paramount to this.

Sounds like Forrest is on the right track and Cascade has a lot of work to do.  Thought this would have been a little bit closer just because of the rivalry.
