MCCALLIE Getting a new DC? Or just a RUMOR

This is probably just a rumor but someone posted on another thread in Class 2A that a fairlly new head coach from the valley who was DC at a state championship contender school in GA for many years, is slated to be the new DC at McCallie. Announcement to come soon. Any truth to this? I hope to get replies from people in the know, not a bunch of valley posters. I'm not trying to start anything just curious because it affects a local school to me. Thanks

haven't heard anything about it.. What school would he be coming from? It's probably a good thing if true because mccallie defense hasn't been to great the last few years

On Sport Talk 1023 yesterday they said Rick Ross was going to be the new DC. He was the DC for the State Championship teams at Calhoun GA, then his first two years in TN at Marion County High School as head coach he has gone 26-4 with two Silver Balls. He is a great coach with a passion for football and winning.

Guess it was true. He announced today his resignation at Marion County. Word is he is the new DC for McCallie

So how do the fans at McCallie feel about their new DC? I haven't like some of his decisions as a person, but Coach Ricky Ross is without a doubt an amazingly great DC. The man will rip many offenses apart. I am curious how he does in the private division.

they probably feel well considering he is a good DC... However it will be hard to continue to run his 3-3-5 stack defense vs teams that have as much if not more talent than he has.. it will be interesting to see how this works out bc i was surprised by this move
