Those refs that called the Southside vs. Fayette Ware game don't need to ref again, they where horrible. But Southside kept they composure

The officiating has been worse in my opinion. South Side just finally showed up in the 2nd half. The streaky shooter Norment was hot last night and South Side was cold. South Side also missed Crews.

Heard Dee Crews is back from concussion now Greer is out with a toe injury. How much will this affect them?

If Greer is out for some games in district tournament SS will lose. He is the only person that can create his own shot off the dribble, with crews being back not really going to make a major difference SS didn't miss a beat with him out.

That team is deep. I'm not sure how much it will hurt them. I'm sure Fuller will pull a cat out the bag!

They are a deep team, but his ability to create for himself and others will be missed. You can be a deep team but you have a few guys that make the team go. They defense is great, I think Fayette Ware and Southside plays the best half court defense from what I saw Saturday night.

    • Playing high school sports is a privilege not a right.  The college did not have to rescind the scholarship.  Scholarship offers are pulled all the time for a number of reasons. That was 100% their choice.  A coach can keep, cut, or dismiss any player that they want to without reason anytime they want.  Is that the right way to run a program?? I don't think that it is, but these are the facts of the matter. This case has absolutely 0% chance of going in the plaintiff's favor. Futhermore, I'd imagine that these administrators and the coach are a part of some teaching or coaching organization that will cover at least 1 million dollars each in legal fees. Obviously the kid and her family feel like there were "damages" thus the lawsuit.  Unfortunately, the law is not on their side in this case.
    • Maryville will recapture the loses from last year against West, Bradley and Farragut. The Bearden game will be the tough one but I look for the wheels to come off that ride somewhere down the road because of all the crap that goes on there. I know to many parents there and some of the things I've been told and some of the post a few of them have made on facebook. They all can't be liars.
    • If Heritage moves down and Alcoa moves up the best thing for Heritage is to do what William Blount did when theystopped playing Maryville or meet certain defeat. Honestly can't see Alcoa not moving up the way the county is growing. Might be in the Mountaineers best interest to stay in 5A because none of those teams on their schedule are anything close to Alcoa.
    • I say over as well. Barney, regarding the move to 4A, will the cross-town blowhards move up as well??
