Yes LA lost. I think nerves happened all I can say. They sure didn't play like they are capable but it is their first time there ever. It is a big stage to play on. CAK is good. We are much better than we showed today you can't win a game usually with only 3 hits and defense was pretty much not there. It is what it is.

Hmm. We have made it to state three times in a row now and I still haven't seen her called for leaping and she's started since freshman year. Shouldn't they call that at the state tournament level? I'm not trying to be a prick. I'm honestly asking. During her down time she plays in the highest level leagues you could imagine and still has never been called. I can tell you the people she has talked to at colleges also have never said anything to her. Strange in my opinion that this is the first time I've seen it mentioned.

I watched Livingston today and that sure didn't look like the team we played all year. What happened, nerves? DeKalb hit the ball very well as usual, their SS<I think it was ss> hit one out, but I watched five or six illegal pitches called on 15 and when she had to keep that toe down they hit off her. I know next year our umps can't use that line now , that it hasn't been called on her. So, good luck to DeKalb and Livingston, I hope someone from this area brings home some hardware!

DeKalb County pitcher, Caplinger, has been illegal all year and last year and it is ashamed the umpires have let it go.  She could have fixed it if the umps had done their jobs.  Now they get into the State and it is being called.  At least these umps are doing their jobs.  She is a good pitcher, but could have been better.  And, I put it on the coach as well.  He knew she was illegal and he let it go.

Anyway, I am for DeKalb and hope they bring that trophy home!

    • Yes this process is moving slower than I would have expected
    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
