Please don't start with the refs stuff. Community rode our point guard the whole game and not one foul called. Plenty of calls went Community's way on drives to the goal with touch fouls being called.

Here's the proof SG shot 25-30 fts and community shot only 7-10 fts.

The last 8 free throws were intentional fouls by Community trying to stop the clock or trying to prevent an easy layup. The foul count was 23-15 and again the last 4 on Community were to stop the clock or prevent a layup. The free throw disparity was mostly due to the fact that they were fouling at the end and also fouling Lamb when she was shooting. Community shot 17 threes to SG's 6. Can't just look at stats. Also, Pierce's 5th foul was unfortunate but it was a foul.

Obviously you looked at the stats. Last 4 fouls and 8 fts was really like last 2 fouls and 4 fts as it was still a one point game after Barnes made the 3 for community and hence the would not have been fouling intentionally down 1 point with a minute and half to go.

Community did shoot more 3's but took the ball to the hole and many of the fouls called for SG when they took the ball to the basket just were not called the same when community took the ball to the basketball

Actually I watched it on the TSSAA website. After the 3 we had a fast break with Lamb getting ready to try a layup when she was knocked into the padding on the goal. She made both making it a three point game. The remaining three fouls were intentional after steals or missed shots. It was a great game and Community has a great team, just please don't try to dismiss what SG accomplished by blaming the refs.

Watch the film. When 40 got it down low we let her go. Lamb knew she could not afford to get into foul trouble.

Not totally dismissing I have stated they are a great team and lamb was a beast of a player. But 4 calls that all went SG way changed momentum big time.

 

1. Pierce got a fouled called on her with no time left at the end of the quarter. Play was over and clock said 0:00. Yet a whistle.

 

2. Our big #40 has someone hanging all over her arm in the 4th quarter still scores but is called an offensive foul. Prolly the worst call of all

 

3. Barnes technical. What did she say? Or do? I was told nothing. You think community rode SG guards all game, SG did the same especially on this play, but is about play SG was ever called a foul for doing this.

 

4. Finally over rule of an out of bounds call that went community way, but was out on SG and then SG scored and got fouled I believe. The ref who over ruled it came from opposite to over turn he has no angle to see. And ball was in corner on SG end of court.
