Westview Head Coach?

Took long enough for this job to get it's own thread.  One would think head coaching experience would be a prerequisite for this job.  Has Cantrell ever been a head coach?

No. I have also heard there is a shot at Ward. Most think that he will succeed Morris in Milan, but I am told that Westview can offer a lot. Again, just rumors.

The concensous is Ward? Westview and Milan are good places, might be hard to get him from Milan. Any new schools being build that would take players from either school?

No plans for a new school in Weakley County or surrounding areas. I'll throw a dark horse into the mix. Gleason head coach Noah Lampkins. Not that he is interested but he has done more with less than anyone around. I was also talking to a buddy from Murray, Ky and he mentioned Keith Hodge but I really don't see that happening. Personally, I thought Chad would go to Murray to work with Keith again, until I heard Chad will be coaching at Oak Ridge next fall with Gaddis.

Lampkins would be a mistake in my opinion.  I do not see Hodge either. Ward would be a great choice, but I do not think it will happen.  This is dragging out long enough that it makes it look like Cantrell will get it.  Who will actually be responsible for making the hire?

Since Comer's name comes up for every job opening, I can't believe that he hasn't been mentioned for this one.

Think Comer will retire in the near future. His daughter will graduate this year and my insider at McKenzie thinks he is about to turn the reigns over to Spivie. Or I think that's the assistants name (Kelly, I believe). I would assume it's up to principle with blessing from super.

One would assume Cantrell is running Spring Practice.  Will Cantrell get the job if they come over here to Newbern and have a good showing in the scrimmage if weather permits?
