Blount County Schools had to open up the wallet for over three hundred Thousand this summer and replace the entire poles at Heritage and WB because they were a danger to fall over I guess from metal fatigue.

This place reminds me of the Old Bill Meyer Stadium in East Knoxville back when the Smokies played there. Every time there was a large crowd and there was a run on hot dogs and they had to make a bunch more it would blow a transformer and KUB would show up so the power could be restored.

Any word on the lighting situation at Jefferson County. Will they play all their games on the road this year or will they fix the lighting.

I just saw where it passed some budget review.  No ice what the next step is.

I feel confident they will fix the situation before the season starts or face being laughed out of office up there. Blount County had to replace the light poles at both schools down here before they fell over. That cost $380,000.00 I believe.

Actually, they have taken the old lights down but I don't think they have started putting the new ones up yet.

The article in yesterday's paper said those lights have been there since the school opened in 1975.

Look at all the hail hits on those lights. Insurance adjuster must of missed those I believe. They need to be calling Jake down at State Farm before they haul those puppies off and tell him to get up here and write us a check.
