What does everyone think of Cookeville wrestling? I know they are returning, Bill Ferell, David Hobbs, Paco Martinez, Matt Bates, B.J. Sullivan. There are more I just cannot think of them.

Nobody on this board is gonna know who those guys are. Let them prove themselves (Cookeville has a GOOD schedule) and we'll see how big those names are in February, when it matters.

Cookeville has a good team when everyone makes wieght. Yes they do have a very tough scheduleand should very well even againist Bradely and Cleveland.

i saw the cookeville team yesterday at crossville. the only "state quality" wrestlers i saw was paco at 189, and their 171. both got beat by "state quality" wrestlers. paco got beat by freels from karns, and the 171 got beat by driggers from kingston. both should do well this year. this doesn't mean that cookeville doesn't have any other good wrestlers, the above two were the only one's that stood out to me.

Besides their 189, Cookville's Joe Hill at 45 or 52 should do something come tournament time. I'm not sure how you could overlook him. Other than that, I don't really see anyone else providing an outstanding performance.

cookeville isnt that good they got beat by smyrna... they need work on their lightweights and they might have a team.

earlier i said bates had been sick, my fault. he's been out with an injury, and his weight is fine.

How did Freels beat Paco........by pin or outscored?....how long did the match go............?

Well did you get to see Paco wrestle this weekend?????In the finals he went against Cothran from Fairview....was just curious how Cothran would satck up against Freels?

Speaking for Bates he is way under wirght and will have no trouble at all making wieght are you scared or something. His football coaches call him a little teddy bear in practice and a grizzly bear when it comes to show time and if you know what i mean. When the money is on the line he'll give anyone a good fight. He wrestlesa with a lot of heart and determinatio, enough said.

I was asking about Bates weight because I belive his first match he was very close to not making the 275 limit. As for being afraid ,,, no. What is Bate's record so far?
