Region 4-4a

Recommended Posts

Im not doubting that Page has a good football team. I see the score being similar to last year's game. Judging from common opponents it's not even close as to who the best team in the region is.

Well, good thing this is football we're talking about. None of that really matters, especially in a championship game.

That's all I have to go off of because I haven't seen Page play this year. Have you seen Marshall this year?

We played each other close in the Riverdale 7 on 7. That's it, but I did get to see the new QB and transfer kid... Do you think your sophomore QB is better right now than Posey was at this time last year?

I agree...much respect to Page and what they have been able to accomplish but it is not even close...MC is by far the better team!! But both teams have games this week so may want to worry about this Friday.

If you knew anything about Marshall County football you would probably rethink your statement. MC plays as a TEAM. Every member of the TEAM calls each other brothers. As far as bench depth does, we rotate about 13 linemen,3 running backs and a host of recievers. See you on the 28th.

Didn't Page lose to Forrest? They have completely turned a corner since the beginning of the season!

It's hard to tell. Posey had more arm strength. Wallace has a good arm but will not hesitate to take off and run the football. I am very impressed with his ability to see the field and the way he steps up in the pocket especially for a sophomore. Wallace doesn't rattle easy and is very accurate with his passes. I think he is completing better than 73% of his passes this season. Edited by leadfarmer

Time to update those playoff match ups... I still believe my statement from the beginning of the year. Page is the best TEAM in the region. Emphasis on TEAM... Friday night was one of the best team wins I've seen in high school football. Defense, Offense, and Special Teams all stepped up when needed, and it didn't look like any of the players panicked when things weren't going our way. Great win Patriots!

Congrats to Page and Marshall County for locking up home field advantage in the 1st round of the playoffs.

Winner of Marshall County at Page game will host East Hamilton

Loser will host Chattanooga Central

Giles will travel to Hixson

Winner of Spring Hill - Lawrence County will travel to Stone Memorial

Best of luck to all Region 4 teams for the last 2 weeks and stay healthy!!!

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
