38-28 final. My take. WC isn't a bad team. Beech played without their #1 running back. Don't know that it would have changed the outcome, but is always a factor playing without the best back in a running offense.

 

All of that said, starting off with a short field on defense, then an onside kick, followed by a reverse/flea flicker for a 50yd TD didn't help either. Played from behind all night and got beat up front. Need to make some improvements...

Miscommunication on the opening kickoff set the tone for a bad night for the Bucs. Apparently the kicker was the only one that knew he was pooching. WC ends up with the ball at the beech 20, scores and then recovers an onside kick. (Unfortunately for wc they didn't recover the one they tried in the 4th qt when they were up by 24) it was 12-0 4 minutes into the game. WC controlled the line of scrimmage most of the night. Beech's starting tb and CB did miss the game with a head injury, but that didn't change the outcome of the game. Hats off to wc. That have a nice team. It was a step backwards for beech. Hopefully they take two steps forward this week.

On a brighter note for the Bucs, the freshmen beat WC 28-0 on Thursday. Only given up one score in four scrimmages and one regular season game.

I would make sure to get them off the schedule while they're down. Ooltewah lost to a bad Riverdale team last year. Quit while you're ahead.
