Alright Tornadoes it's GAME DAY. Time to strap it up and HIT SOMEBODY. Mitchell is coming to town off of an embarrassing loss last week and I'm sure they remember the running clock treatment they received the last time they were here. ..........but you know what? THAT'S THEIR PROBLEM. WE DON'T CARE HOW DISAPPOINTED THEY ARE BECAUSE THIS IS OUR HOUSE. It's time to STEP ON THE GAS AND DON'T LET THEM BREATH. COME ON TORNADOES. We must COMPETE, PLAY PHYSICAL AND LIMIT FUMBLES. GO TORNADOES

It just got through coming a "gully washer" in UC. I'm talking about a Louisiana style down pour. One of those grandma stopper rains. You know what I'm talking about when all the old ladies stop in the middle of the road because they can't see to drive. I think you get the point. I know Coach Bowling has been preparing for this weather tonight, just as he does whenever there is a chance for rain on game day. They soak the practice balls down so the guys can get used to handling a wet football. So with that out of the way I'm looking forward to seeing some TORNADO FOOTBALL.

It's the blocks and blood

It's the turf and mud

It's the ROAR of the Friday Night crowd

It's the whites in the knuckles

The shift and the shuffle

Grinding out the next first down

It's time to fear

The mid line veer

The clock grinding Purple and Gold

Rolling Touchdown after Touchdown

All the way to the 1A Thrown

This has been ugly wet and sloppy. UC fumbles on first two possessions and gave up a cheap TD on a bubble screen. Mitchell is not disciplined at all and have been called offsides 4 times extending UC drives. The Tornadoes have scored twice on a pass play. The same one. It seems to me our timing is off mainly because of the wet conditions. Coach Bowling has simplified the offense to pretty much fullback hammering the middle. We haven't run anything outside in a while. I guess because of the fumbles. It looks like it's gonna be a smash mouth second half with the fullback getting most of the calls. The holes have been getting bigger. Getting ready for the second half with Mitchell getting the ball.

Well it wasn't pretty but UC came away with a good win. Just like everyone else in our area the weather played a huge factor. Coach Bowling just simplified things and pounded the ball up the middle and eventually wore Mitchell down. The Tigers were better prepared and better coached and fought hard until the very end. After a dismal start and some adjustments in our blocking skeems we started moving the ball effectively and put the game away. Hats off to Mitchell but I have to give our big boys up front a huge pat on the back for out working and out playing the Tigers defense. To our battering ram at fullback. ....Awesome job sir. Also to our QB. ...great job managing the offense and keeping your cool when it was obvious that some of the Mitchell players were gunning for you. Overall it was a great win. Now let's spank Trenton the way we should have last year. GO TORNADOES
