So many unsung heroes tonight. #4 Brady Swan had a monster game, throwing key blocks that opened up the ground game. Ryan Means on the line handled Davidson's 6"7' Memphis commit, Easy (his name, I'm sure it wasn't easy). Both O and D lines had an awesome night. Davidson showed a lot of heart. It would have been easy to come out the locker room for the second half when they were down 21-0 and just give up, they didn't. Well done by both teams tonight.

congrats to the tigers. our kids go to DA and we saw the Bears really control and out muscle Friendship last week. the beating we took tonight on your field was just shocking.  your kids were better at every position on the field, and getting #33 to play this season must be like getting manna from heaven. That bus was rolling, and we had no answer.  appreciated getting to come to your beautiful stadium, good luck the rest of the year, I cant imagine a scenario where you guys are not challenging for a 1A state championship...  DA is a quality team, and when they get their 3 lineman back, they will be much better... but you guys are clearly the better team, and deserve to feel great about your win.  best of luck the rest of the season.

How is H2O Town in 1A? They were 2A last season.

I'm really excited about this Watertown Team and I'm Talking State Championship Contention Excited! I know that the season is early but these guys are not 1 dimensional and it looks like that they can score at Will at anytime. Defense looks really good but I really feel like Seth Price could possibly be the best QB that I have ever seen at Watertown, the kid is a Natural born leader and he just simply does his Job and he does it Well . We are loaded at our Skill positions and these guys can take it to the house at any given time. GET YOUR POPCORN READY IT'S GOING TO BE A GOOD YEAR

Watertown had a big lead early last year and Turner went down. Wheels came off. I'd lean towards Watertown but I don't think multiple scores. I'm thinking 28-21

Hey, where you at?  This was a BEAT down!  They tapped out in the first Quarter.  Go ahead and tell us how DA was not very good and how we missing Turner?

Everyone needs calm down.... Yes Watertown won.... Doesn't mean we are on easy street to the state championship.... We should compete against Forrest doesn't mean we will beat them down or anything of the sort... They could very well beat Watertown.... I hope they don't but they could....DA was a good team that we took revenge on from last year... Right now it's Cascade we need to worry about or we will get bit by overlooking our opponents.

Watertown players enjoy it play with swag you should you are very talented, fans enjoy it . I remember years and years when h20 had 20 or less players 4-6 records and getting beat badly by the big 3 gville,fc,tc.. kids going to school in portable buildings while other county schools were getting new schools and fields. So to the players and fans you waited patient and you time has come to show off and show out!

    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
    • Dorian Eskridge had a great Junior year, highlighted by a great game to lead HVA to an upset win at OR that year. I think that was 2010. In 2011 OR won at HVA. OR had a real good QB that year l think. Dorian Eskridge had a great senior year also. He always played hard from the DCM videos l saw.
    • It seems we lost a ton to graduation. We shall see how it shapes up for 2024.
