This one looks like it will be a little less one sided than last year. Cheatham seems to be on the right track. Fairview is playing their best ball in 3 years.

For those planning to attend this one, get there early. It will be a packed house and a great atmosphere.

The Cubs and Fairview have both won at Creek Wood and both won at Stewart County this year. Fairview won a very close football game against Waverly. Cheatham led Waverly at halftime and gave them all they could handle for the majority of the game.

 

I see a highly competitive game on Friday night. Fairview has their best team since 2013. Cheatham has their best team since 2012.

Cheatham was pretty sloppy in the 2nd and 3rd quarter against Hickman. They also played without the reigning MVP DL of the region until their third game (at Sycamore). I think Hickman ran for -8 yards in the Cheatham game but threw for 400 yards.

If the cubs struggled at any time with Hickman Co, why do we think this will be a close game? The one thing Hickman does is pass. Cheatham gave up 400, Fairview gave up 250. Fairview only gave up 30 something rushing the ball. Fairview's offense will not be one demensional. They have a triple threat rushing attack with Beathard, Caldwell, and Ortiz and can sling the ball around with Kam Sanborn, and Warren. Its Fairview homecoming, the starters are fresh and Cheatham is coming off a loss. All signs points Fairview.

Side note, the middle schools play each other in the first round of the playoffs tomorrow at Fairview. Should be a good matchup. The first game fairview won 28-16 i believe. Come on down and watch.

if fairview shows up and plays their game it will be a running clock after half.  dont think cheatham can score on fairview more than once and i dont think cheatham can stop fairviews offense

Who is the qb at Fairview now? Is he better than the kid at Cheatham? Heard he was pretty good. Being 5-0 I would think that the Yellow Jackets have another good qb on their hands. I know the other skill players are playmakers.
