OOLTEWAH VS MCMINN CO.

Recommended Posts

I'm anxious to see this running game i've heard so much about from McMinn. Sounds like some old school football. Owls in a must win situation.

THAT IS A SMART ANSWER. I WANT TO SEE MY OWLS FRY THIS CHICKENWINGT THAT MCMINN HAS INSTALLED THIS SEASON. THE FRONT LINES MUST PERFORM FOR 4 QTRS AND THIS GAME WON'T TAKE LONG IF MCMINN EATS THE CLOCK UP. AND OUR RUN GAME HAS TO BE JUST AS EFFECTIVE AS OUR AIR ATTACK. I'M READY FOR THE CHALLENGE. TIRED OF EATING CUPCAKES..

ERRBODY IS ASSUMING THAT MY OWLS WILL DROP 2 OF THESE 3 LAST GAMES. AND SOME OF THESE DELUSIONALS THINK WE WILL DROP ALL 3.REALLY? LET ME BREAK THIS DOWN MY FRIENDS.

1.RHEA COUNTY YES YOU HAVE 2 HOME GAMES LEFT TO MCMINN AND WALKER VALLEY IT DONT MATTER YOUR SECONDARY GETS SHREADED AT HOME AND ON THE ROAD. I CAN'T TRUST THEM AGAINST SODDYS QB.

2.CLEVELAND IS OFF AND YOU GOT 2 ROAD GAMES, AT MY HOUSE AND WHITE COUNTY AND MY OWLS ALREADY TOOK THEM TO THE WOODSHED SO REMEMBER THAT.WHICH TEAM WILL SHOW UP? WE ARE VERY AWARE OF THE MAGNITUDE OF THIS GAME WHETHER ITS SPOILER ALERT OR 4TH. DEM OWLS WILL BE READY.

3.WALKER VALLEY HAS 3 GAMES LEFT.2 ON THE ROAD. IF THIS QB AND WIDEOUTS ARE AS GOOD AS YAL SAY THEY ARE THEY WILL MOLLYWHOP RHEA POINT BLANK JUST THROW IT UP TO WHATEVER SIDE THEY WILL BE OPEN. AND MY OWLS JUST DONT LOSE TO WALKER VALLEY MUCH HOME OR AWAY.BUT IT WILL BE A CHALLENGE.

4.MCMINN WILL HAVE THEIR HANDS FULL WITH 2 ROAD GAMES STARTING WITH MY OWLS AT MY HOUSE. WE HAVE SOMETHING TO PROVE TOO SO WE AREN'T GOING TO LAY DOWN AND GET RAN OVER BY THE CHICKENWINGT WITHOUT A FIGHT.AND OUR HOME CROWD MAY BE PART OF THE MOTIVATION WE NEED TO GET IT DONE. SODDY AT HOME TO GIVE YOU A LITTLE BREAK BEFORE HEADING TO EAGLEVILLE WHERE I CANT GUARANTEE A WIN AGAINST THE BEST RAN CHICKENWINGT IMO. WHOMEVER CAN THROW A PASS OR 2 MAY BE THE DIFFERENCE IN THE OUTCOME OF THE GAME.

5.SODDY....AT MCMINN...NO SHOT. AND THEY HOST RHEA FRIDAY...ANY QB THAT CAN FIND OPEN RECEIVERS HAS A SHOT AGAINST RHEA JUST TO PUT A LITTLE FIRE UNDER THEIR FEET LOL..

WHITE COUNTY...HOST WALKER VALLEY AND CLEVELAND. PREACHERVOL WAS HOPING THAT HIS TEAM CAN GET A DISTRICT WIN THIS SEASON. WELP YOU GO 2 MORE CHANCES..

GOOD LUCK!

WHEN I LOOK AT THE MCMINN SCHEDULE IT IS LACED WITH A BUNCH OF CUPCAKES WITH THE EXCEPTION OF BRADLEY WHO TOOK YOUR CHICKENWINGT TO THE WOODSHED . OAKRIDGE SAY THAT THEIR LINE PLAY ON BOTH SIDES WAS POOR AND I KNEW WHEN THEY CAME TO YOUR HOUSE THERE WAS NO WAY THEY WIN THAT GAME IF IT WAS CLOSE. BUT I STILL CONSIDER THEM A CONTENDER. WALKER VALLEY LEAD THE ENTIRE GAME UNTIL THE END BEFORE AN INJURY OCCURRED TO THE QB AND YOU WON BY 3.THEY ARE POTENTIAL CONTENDERS. CLEVELAND IS INJURED BUT STILL IN CONTENTION FOR THAT LAST SPOT FOR THE PLAYOFFS. NOW RHEA RUNS THE CHICKENWINGT TO PERFECTION BUT CAN'T DEFEND THE PASS. THAT WON'T BE A PROBLEM WITH YOU.. IT WILL BE WHO'S GROUND GAME IS MORE DOMINANT. TRUTHFULLY MY OWLS HAVE BEEN MUDD STOMPIN THE WEAK LINKS BUT CAN'T FIND THE END ZONE AGAINST AN OK TEAM LIKE RHEA COUNTY. HAVE WE FIXED THAT PROBLEM?? YEAH WE DEMOLISH THE CUPCAKES. THE CONTENDERS LIKE MCMINN? WE WILL SEE. BUT AS A REPRESENTATIVE OF 4-5A I AM GLAD TO SEE THREE TEAMS FROM MY DISTRICT THE TOP 10. THAT SAYS ALOT ABOUT PA AND MY LEADERSHIP!LOL

Three teams from that district in the top 10 is a joke. Other than Rhea, none of the other district teams have a chance of making it to the quarterfinals.

hahahaha...every year some idiot warrior fan gets on here and says this years team is worst team in school history, but still manages to beat whatever school from wherever, but never makes it past 2nd round or 3.Give me a break,ya'll have a good tradition(but you should since you all are in the most populated area in the state, with most athletes, best schools, coaches, fan base etc..)but who cares, your only as good as your last game.if riverdale and Ooltewah played right now,Im willing to bet it wouldnt be 47-14 and,if it was it might be Owls whooping dat arse!!!,but we will never know,so worry about how your going to make excuses,

when you get bumped in round 2 and let us worry about, what we can do to get past 2nd-3rd round THIS YEAR!!

    • A complete cultural change happened at Greeneville and the administration and community opened up their checkbooks.  What a lot of people don't know is Ballard was Zeller's OC for many years and stopped coaching for two years because Zeller and Ballard didn't see eye to eye on some things.  Zeller lead Greeneville to it's first ever Semi Final appearance in 2000 and lost 28-12 at Maryville and had them in the Quarter Finals in 2002 and 2003.  Z was a great coach but lost some control when it came to making workouts mandatory. (He learned from that Mistake and it was at LC when i coached with him.).  Z was let go going into my Senior Year and was replaced by Steve McCurry who was the one that turned the program around.  Steve had won a 4a state championship at AC Reynolds in Asheville and made the administration completely redo the weight room with new equipment, had a football period at the end of the school day to lift, started devil camp, and brought in coaches like Danny Bentley (Still the OL coach), Ballard as the OC, Cody Baugh (QB coach and still there), and even Spradlen who is Greeneville's head coach now as the DB's Coach.  McCurry only coached for two seasons at Greeneville and took a team that had a losing record the year before and finished my Senior Year making it to the Quarters and having a 10-3 record and then followed it up with a Semi Final appearance the next year with an 11-3 record and back to back conference championships.  Loved McCurry to death but the recession hit and the story i heard was he was still buying new equipment for the team that the Principal didn't authorize and his response was "I don't answer to you and only to Niswonger and Bewley" (Two huge donors).  That was it for him and they Promoted Ballard shortly after that.   Greeneville had always been relevant ever since the the late 70's under Coach Fred Sorrell's.  Since Sorrell's took over in 1977 Greeneville overall winning percentage is over 76%.  The biggest reason people might not have thought Greeneville was "Good" until Ballard was Greeneville always played up Classification wise and could never get over the hump. (When there were 3 classifications we played 3a, when it went to 5 we played 4a).  Greeneville is the largest its ever been with 953 students and where playing teams 2 or 3 times there size back in the day (I had a little over 800 kids in the school when i graduated in 2008).  Other teams always would know they would be sore after a game but depth took over and never won a Championship until Greeneville played in the classification the TSSAA actually assigned them. You had names like Dustin Moore (1993 Mr Football for 3a and who Phillip Fulmer said was one of the greatest athletes he ever recruited), James "Mud Turtle" Mayes, Brigham Lyons, Byron Gillespie, Frankie Debusk (National Champion Qb at Furman with GQ), Jasmine Lowery, Cody Baugh, The Greenway Brothers, Joe Watson (Furman), etc.  Now the cultural is from the Pee Wee league up and you grow up as a young kid wanting to wear the Greene and White.  Here is a really good link when it comes to anything Greeneville Football related. https://greenevillefootball.com/   I also don't coach anymore.  Z told me i was to smart with how the school systems are ran these days and ended up going into real estate in Knoxville which has been a great decision for my life.
    • Yes, they will. I'm wondering what kinds of strides Sale Creek will make heading into the second season under Coach Fitz.
    • No yellow stripes on the rug last night. Biggest crowd I’ve seen at 825 since the alco debacle.
    • I know most Pirate starters were seniors last year. Im not sure how accurate it is but someone said we only have 3 seniors. That Prep team will probably make some noise this coming season too.
