Hopefully this game isn't officiated by the refs from last year or the ones from the Spring Hill game. Hate to see flag happy refs dictating the game.

 

I think the key matchup this week is the Marshall County offense against the Page defense. The Marshall County first team defense has given up 16 points against region opponents this year. They're probably one of the two or three best defenses Marshall County has ever had. If the Marshall County offense gets on track early, I think this week will be more of the same.

Marshall will win and have Home field in the Playoffs all the way up to Championship game in Cookeville.

which could be the deciding factor when catholic comes over. Sitting 8-1 right now is beautiful! And IMO marshall and Stratford "this year" would split a 10 game series. Two fantastic teams. I don't see page winning this game. I predicted at beginning of the season no region foe would come within 3 scores. And if Marshall county's little brother up the street put up 21 on you. Marshall will double that. I'm going to say.... Hmmmm....

      RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.

      I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
