Dont think those teams are the norm for Benton. They had a few good years for Polk and had a lot of good athletes. Dont think you can expect that very often up there.

It was fortunate for 2a those teams were in 3a.  That said Polk Salad has had some good teams off and on over the past 30 years.

Hope since the Super 32 is up this year, we will get to pick Polk County back up. Always was a good money maker for both schools. Enjoyed the games too! Be fun for Da Bears and Wildcats to go at it again.

Polk has been down the last couple of years, it's true, but showing improvement. The JV teams had a great year and the little league juniors had a good year as well. Polk will be back in the hunt real soon. Meanwhile all you Marion folks don't stop to eat before you get here. our concession has the best food and best prices you will ever see. Come enjoy a football game with a beautiful view of the mountains and a great baked potato or barbeque nachos. you want sour cream on it? We have it. Best popcorn you'll have all night too. You tell em orangeslice.

We actually had the cafe feed our team after the game last visit. I've been around a while and can testify that the wildcats are among, if not the best, concession stand in the state.
