CLINTON DRAGONS 2017?

Kind of odd that McKamey was at the state championship games this week in Cookeville with a group of kids that will be returning to GCA next year. To me that don't sound like the actions of a man that is leaving. GCA is a good job and a head coach is going to have more freedom there then they would at Clinton but I'm sure if he does go I can't blame anyone for wanting to go back to their real home and coach.

Agreed. I'd be more than happy to have him as head coach but wouldn't be mad at all if he stayed at Grace.

Randy McKamey WILL be the next coach at Clinton... should of happened years ago... As much as I love Scotty... 1.. He's In a good spot in oak ridge money wise, 2.. Randy is a better coach.. no doubt. It will be good day for Clinton when it is official.. as he will have a bigger talent pool at Clinton then he ever did at Grace contrary to the whole "recruiting" deal people make.

the talent pool comment is very debatable-yes chs had a heckuva qb last year (who graduated) & they have some skill guys but top to bottom i think grace has 'em beat.  i saw grace first hand last year when they came up here (boone, nc) to scrimmage & practice with watauga-i'd take them in a heart beat over the dragons.  plus, the culture at chs ain't gonna be changed over night.  not saying McKamey won't change the culture-just saying it ain't happening over night-there will be some growing pains! i hope he can get the dragons back on track-would love to see them beating OR & AC again!!!!

    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
    • You really mean the Price twin boys and Lyin Larry.
