42 Chandler Kaylor started too.

Kaylor is a rising junior this year. They have a pretty good resume from last season as well. Kaylor, Colton Edwards (#78 OL/DL)*, Payton Duggar (#57 OL/DL)*, Zach Pemberton (#7 QB)*, Peyton Samples (#42 TE/DL), Patric Williams (#64 OL/DL)*, Aulbrey Smith (#13, WR/DB)*, Gavin Morrison (#24 RB/OLB), and Hayden Frasier (#1 QB/PK)* also contributed a great deal in 2016. Shy Ezell (#2 RB/DB) who spent all of last season injured could be in the mix for some carries at running back if he comes back and stays healthy.

I missed your "seniors" designation. My bad.

Where do you all see Rhea County in the region standings this season?

I think a first place finish is possible. A second place finish is most likely. And a third place finish is not out of the question because of the variable that is Walker Valley. Going off of returning talent and coaching, I think Rhea and Catholic are neck and neck for the #1 spot. Walker Valley is always tough, and they have Gibson returning. Soddy and Lenoir City have potential, but I feel they are getting the short end of the stick when it comes to strength of region schedule.

I think looking at the region I think we will finish 1 or 2. Catholic lost a great group of players especially skill players. However, they will have one of the best offensive lines we will see. With that said I look for Catholic to be the favorite going into the season next fall. Walker Valley will probably finish 3rd maybe 4th if Soddy can upset them. WV lost I believe 4 of their top 5 pass catchers. Last year, I think was Walker Valley's year if they were going to make a run. It's not often two D-1 WRs come through WV. Yes, Gibson is returning but there's a lot of question marks about who he will be throwing to. Lenior City may not win a Region game next year.

    • Ole Benny boy lol. I forgot about Harder. He was tough as crap. He graduated in ‘09. I went to the OR/Maryville game that year (great game, btw) and he collided with Jacob West (I think was his name) and you could hear it clearly at the top of the visitor bleachers. Man, it was a stick. He could lay some wood son. All those guys were tough, Elliott included.
    • They do have good community support for sure and did when I coached under Z for 4 years. (I was on that staff that turned them around a little from winning 1 game a year to actually being competitive).  Great Kids and Great Community over there.  They have done some good things with the facilities from when i coached too.
    • I personally will not mind that one bit.  It seems like a really strange fit to me from the git go.
    • Hey, I am a big fan of LC even before my friend SC got that job.  Every time I have been down there for a game, their fans have showed up and stayed positive cheering on the boys regardless of the score.  I think they have great support and great potential.  I'm coming down for some home games this year for sure.  I'm pulling for LC.
    • They didn't erect one of Zeller when he took them to the Quarter Finals in 2011 getting beat by a TD by Powell and Dy'Shawn mobley or in 2012 when they went 9-3 and finished 2nd in the conference behind Maryville. (That conference was stacked too with teams like Maryville, Catholic, West, Farragut, and Bearden)
