Win or lose, this Waverly team is a TEAM. They came out arm in arm last Friday night & will go a full four quarters. Trezevant may have the flash & D1 recruits, but Waverly will put 11 on the field that will smack you in the mouth. I don't see this as a blow out either way, but if you've bet against Waverly, you better be nervous about your money. 21-16 Waverly

I cant see it. Now they may score. heck their good enough to score twice. They fall off at the d.line if you run right at them . The line backers are medium at best and the secondary is the weak link in the armor. Get pass the dline and its real estate. You have to be honest.

They can score but they dont have a formidable defense to stop a team that pounds the ball for 4 quarters until you break from constantly getting hit over and over and over again when your team is on defense. Then all their "studs" play both ways. They have to absorb the punishment when they're on offense too. Keep the medic and trainers ready. You have to truly step back, and be an honest observer. Put you team rah rah beside and call a ace a ace, and spade a spade.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
