We will throw the ball some.  I don't want to get into tendencies about when and how often but we will toss it around just enough to keep the defense honest.  As far as the running game. ...if Mayfield can stop it they will be the first to do so.  That's all I have to say about that.

That sounds like a challenge our defense is up for the task for lol

Any team can be stopped and that includes Mayfield. But in this matchup being able to mostly concentrate on stopping the run makes it easier on the Cards. If Mayfield defeats UC this year and next, will UC stop the series?

Mumbles as far as the series is concerned, I think that will be decided by the administrations. I expect a huge gate for both schools so I expect the series to continue.  The run.... Well let's just say that it's far more comcomplicated to stop than you may think.  Flexbone, Veer,  Triple Option whatever you want to call it has many different ways to attack.  I think we run it about as good as anybody can.  We will see

Trust me.  Both have enough to be concerned with in this game.  I know it won't matter in our respective state standings but this game is for PRIDE.  Go Tornadoes

Pride is all it is and since there both great ball teams it will let both teams find there weakest points and get them ready for play offs that's really all that matters to me

Mumbles, right now it is only a 2 year deal. 2019 and beyond is a big unknown.

1980, I had a very similar thought recently. This is just a pride game. All weaknesses and skeem flaws will be exposed for both teams. I figure this game will put both our teams about 3 weeks ahead of our opponents. Sure the the loser will have their pride bruised, but the knowledge and experience gained will be imeasurable.

No objections there

    • Gleason all over west Carroll in scrimmage. Gleason is big and fast
    • Defending 2A state Champs Westview Lady Chargers are pretty tough. They lost a bunch of production off last year's squad but returned some talent as well. They still McCall Simms, a Tennesseee Lady Vol softball commit as well as solid talent around the diamond. I dont think they are as good as last season but they will definitely be a tough out. Huntingdon Lady Mustangs seem to be pretty stout as well. Don't know much about Riverside other than Westview defeated them earlier in regions. West Tennessee softball is pretty solid all around id say.
    • Eagleville couldn’t catch up to Jones, he did have his location issues but in that game Eagleville popped up everything and the one hit they did have could have been ruled an error. Jeffcoat was a lot sharper in the beginning of the season last year than the end. ER ran out of pitching and still was in striking distance but none the less the better team one. Last seasons tournament was A LOT more balanced and talented. South Pitts starter is a Lefty who was low 80’s but couldn’t maintain his velo throughout the  outing, their #2 was more impressive last year, we knocked him around this year and his mph was down some. Their #3 isn’t bad neither, throws a lot of strikes and sits high 70’s.
    • He actually had a really solid spring.  I could see him getting some backup snaps on offense and be a regular on special teams.  Really athletic kid who can run.
