A-AA Team Rankings

So far we've got one person to give us his opinion of class A-AA wrestling rankings this year so far. Is there anyone else out there that can put their 2 cents in on the conversation that know what to expect out of the East TN small schools. I'm pretty sure Pigeon Forge is still the team to beat out East. How about Greenville, Alcoa, Notre Dame, Hixson, Knoxville Grace, Signal Mountain, Red Bank or East Ridge. How do these teams stack up? Who's the teams to beat over there this year? is there any teams from Middle TN that can give them a run for there money this year? Where would Page, Greenbrier, and Forrest fit of in the mix?

 

ND, Red Bank and CCS will be involved in a little dual action Thursday....there will a little bit better picture of how its stackin up on this side

Here is my guess. It's a guess because there have not been enough matches recorded and lineups are still a little skewed.

1. Pigeon Forge.

2. Hixson.

3. Red Bank.

4. Notre Dame.

5. Greenbrier.

6. Page.

7. Alcoa.

8. Signal Mountain.

9. Greenville.

10.Forrest.

I don't put much stock in these rankings this year.  It is nice for the kids but I know that Whitwell has some kids that should be ranked and are not.  170 Warner Ashworth with a 17-3 record and head to head win over Ivey at Hixson.  220 TD Argo with a 15-3 record and a head to head win over Watkins.  

Also, the rankings haven't accounted for everyone dropping weight.  

Jaren Thames is now at 120

 

Once again, nice to have a little publicity, but it is the end rankings on the podium that matter most.

Score from last night: Greenbrier 60- Nolensville 9. Looks like Coach Reynolds has a very solid team.
