LEAD Academy And MTCS are the favorites to win region. Both are great teams. CA lead by Senior guard Austin fisher is a sleeper. One upset I can see is East Rob beating MTCS if they don't come out and handle business. East Robertson can shot the laces off the ball if open. Eagleville is also a good team but LEAD should handle business. And what I seen from Mcewen and Huntland, Mcewen could possibly beat Huntland if Mcewen Guard #22 can go off.

District 9A goes 3-1 with Community pulling the upset over Clarksville Academy. MTCS and Community square off for the 4th time this season at 6 on Tuesday. Lead and Huntland play at 7:30. Still like MTCS and Lead in the final, but Lead better not overlook Huntland. MTCS will definitely not look past Community.

i think LEAD and MTCS are on a collision course to the finals.  Both teams looked equally impressive in regional 1st round wins.  Barring any upsets we should get a rematch of last years regional 1st round matchup, in which MTCS took the win 64-72.  Both teams are a year older and playing some great basketball.  Lets hope both teams handle their business on tuesday night and set us up for a great night of basketball on thursday for the regional championship

Wow I would have picked MTCS and LEAD as well. Pretty shocking to see these two scores tonight.

    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
