FBfan26
Metro Nashville recruiting and nobody still hasn't got a gold ball 🤔🤔. Most of the kids no days are followers. Nobody wants to do it themselves. You see this alot in Basketball also. When your winning kids want to be a part of that. I have a nephew who is zoned to a metro school that hasn't won NOTHING and stays on the county line. He stays with a dad now and plays across the county line. Most metro schools are open zones and Academy's. They basically go anywhere they want once accepted. Y'all making something out of nothing... workinprogress
Fan I agree with everything you said except for the last statement. You are right about kids. However you left out coaches going into schools not in their zone or even county, coaches walking into homes of kids, etc. This is a problem. I don't even know how a out of county kid could be eligible unless he went to ba,ma etc. I can't speak for everybody because some of the stuff people saying I don't see. I only hear people on here talking about it. Rumors and etc. I could go on and on but choose not to. People complaining about coach's at middle school games and etc smh. At the end of the day the parents choose where the kids go. Most city's schools are like this #Facts
workinprogress
Fan you are correct again. And if I didn't know that some of this type stuff was happening I'd be just like you. But I do know it's happening. Parents will decide but they can be steered in a direction.
fb247
It's not ok, but it is where we are today. Parents shop their kids and schools recruit. Complaining hasn't solved the problem, the problem has continually worsened over time. All an honest Coach can do is let kids zoned to him know own that he wants them and will treat them fairly and care about them. The best recruiting tool is past players telling future players about how you treated them like family and truly looked out for them and helped develop them into being a good young man. Unbelievable that you do not see what is happening in metro Fan. You are either 10 years old or so old you do not get out of the house. There is no gray area when it comes to recruiting illegally. It is black and white.

I heard about one school in the past few years but nothing has happen. I'm not blind nor dumb. It's going going on somewhere but metro still hasn't got a gold ball or a program year in and out better then anybody.
buckeyeball
I know of 4 coaches in the mid state area that have reported the same metro school. So people know things are going on.

dirtywave
LOL. Heck yea it goes on. Privates and a number of Metro schools. And yea, they are reported. It is almost impossible to prove and the TSSAA has little appetite or resources to chase the complaints. On top of it all, these private football camps are merchants of players too as well as some youth football programs. Only way to fix the public side is to stick to strict residential zones and all players have to prove by utility bills their residence. Privates? At least drop them in a separate league for postseason competition but allow play during the season. I agree with what Bleacher said awhile back that he can keep his kids in his program; good coaches can. It doesn't mean though the wolves won't be at the gates. It will get a whole lot worse than better. Doubt it will ever get better. And, wait until school choice and vouchers get involved lolol. BoardHater71
Why hasn't no one reported it then? I heard about one school in the past few years but nothing has happen. The school that caught heat for it in Metro last year was Stratford. They had a lot of newcomers who played a key role in their success. The offensive coordinator's position at a particular player's academy was said to have been an unfair advantage in favor of the Spartans football program. Another Metro school that catches major heat is Pearl-Cohn. I've received on great authority that others in the area call into question why student athletes from MLK are not counted against the enrollment at Pearl-Cohn. I don't think PC gets many kids at all from MLK in reality. It's definitely not enough to effect their figures at the end of the day. Makes you wonder if any player's academy attendees will be heading to Hillsboro this season.
