rtl112
I figured I'd get the ball rolling if there is any Coalfield posters out there. I'd like to hear what some have got to say.

As I said last year , this should be the year for us to make it back to the state. I knew Greenback was going to be a tough out for anyone in the east last year. If coalfield returning everyone but 2 players from Last year, they should be 2 touch downs better than Greenback and South Pitt. Not saying coalfield will win either game, but definitely should be the case. And having home field advantage to, don't see either team beating coalfield this year. We will be getting our defensive end back which got a knee hurt early in the season and he will be a boost up front from last year. But the Lowe kid may be missed more than some think because he made a lot of stops on defense and was probably the best with the ball in his hands except for maybe McKinney. Is that the same kid that got hurt in the Greenback game during regular season? The elbow or shoulder?

Lowe was the one who dislocated his elbow. Coalfield has a very tough game the week before GB in Marion county,if they win both those games back to back they are a true contender this year! 56 minutes ago, Tvts said: Is that the same kid that got hurt in the Greenback game during regular season? I seen where someone has coalfield by 7 over Greenback this year. If Greenback can get some blocking up front from the line it might be a good game. Those big guys in the trenches are the real heroes. And it doesn't hurt to have a little mean streak . Lol

Yeah that was Austin Lowe. We also have a Lowe kid at wideout who moved from Oz several years ago and if that kid improve like he did from his sophomore to junior year then I look for him to have a big year.
Carl1976
I saw the Carrol kids the other day and he looks massive this year. Somehow not Pre-season all state! They played Rockwood the other day in 7on7 and overall speed is definitely better than last year. They have 3 really fast players by my count including the QB. Scrimmaging Kingston and Stone Memorial soon. This team grew up last year from the first GB game to the second. It will be hard to slow them down as they feel they have a lot to prove. Tremendous off-season effort by many of the players.

Keep me updated on those scrimmages, I'd like to check them out. I was hoping Stone was at home, I believe they scrimmages them up there last year
