SC played well!! We have alot of holes to fill on both sides of the ball didn't look good at all.

I heard it was not very close at all.  Like 6 scores to 1.  Only thing was that Pearl could not hold onto the ball and had a bunch of penalties.  But I am just repeating what I was told.

Gallatin scrimmages Shelbyville on Friday.   I know Station Camp scrimmages Pearl Cohn and Summit at some point.  Hendersonville I think has Riverdale and maybe Smyrna at some point, really not sure.  Beech usually scrimmages Dickson Co but again not sure.  What are the general thoughts?  Gallatin plays pretty much the 6A region of SC and Hendersonville with Wilson Central and MJ.

How did the scrimmage vs Shelbyville go?

Lots of good work.  Gallatin subbed a lot of guys and the first two strings looked good.  JV gave up a few scores but the varsity defense was tough.  Shelbyville had a couple of big offensive linemen but the QB was hurried all day.  But lots of good work on both sides including the kicking game.  I think both sides got to see areas where they need improvement.  Searching for quality depth seems to be the going theme.

Hville got whipped pretty good by Oakland tonight.  I doubt that the Commandos see a defense this year any better than the Pats.  Big, physical, and fast.  Neither team scored in the first 3 series before the Pats scored 2 straight on long drives. Hville scored on a run by Coker and then the Pats tacked on 3 more.  Hughes played 6 or 7 plays on offense none on defense and Kincaid did not play at all.  Go back to early tomorrow morning and I would wager that line play on both sides of the ball will be emphasized.

    • Sorry Barn. I wasn’t specific enough. It seems I’m always protecting the principal at 825. My interactions with her have been extremely positive, but very limited. With all the other stories being told, I’m confident there are other sides I am not aware of. Regardless, there are lots of decent people earning good checks up there. Maybe too good, which explains why no one is willing to speak up. My beef is with the poor communication among the athletic programs and with the administration. Seven years ago the poor communication led to my son missing graduation due to a sporting event that was planned months before. I chalked it up to the system being totally shocked that the baseball team made it out of their district, and our then AD was a football coach. Maybe they were surprised and did not plan appropriately. That was more palatable than they just didn’t give a crap. Déjà vu, seven years later, same thing. Different administration, but same result.  Maybe in seven more years, it will actually be “about the kids”. They should do better.
