You have to think Greenville is the favorite considering what they did last year. I am unaware of what they lost, but I believe they were relatively young. White House is another team that is primed for a run this year. Pre-season all-American Maddie Davis has a solid core around here that makes them tough to beat. I think these two teams are a head above the rest at this point in the season.

Other teams to note:

Beech High School looks solid early on. I know Coach Cook likes his team this year. Strong back line with some serious attitude.

White House Heritage is lurking as well with a top notch Freshman and Sophomore class. Not sure they are ready considering how young they are though. Experience could easily get them.

Fairview had a decent team last year. I do not know what they have this year but they should win their district pretty easily.

The White House, Beech, White House Heritage district should make some noise in the state tournament. Two of these teams will cause some fuss.

Prediction: Greeneville repeats

I do not know enough about the West Tennessee teams as they usually do not cause a racket in the state tournament in the lower classifications.

Schermerhorns Lady Fighting Irish will be at the dance as they have every year for the last 13 years......at least the Irish want have to worry about TSSAA matching ND up against that Greenville bunch in the 1st round Quarterfinals for the 3rd year in a row, makin sure them T$$AA schedulin gurus set up the best chance to get Schermerhorn's group out early

Booger bettin on Johnny and his Green Devils to own it again over on their side...Johnny and his buddy Joy got that program up on Tusculum Blvd hittin on all cylinders up there

Booger just sayin :D

    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
    • You really mean the Price twin boys and Lyin Larry.
    • Now that wouldn’t surprise me a bit. That has been going on heavily since the days of Larry Kerr @ AC. One of the major reasons CC has never really had much at all, barring about 2 seasons in football. AC milks it dry.
    • Interesting how quite it is. Rumors are going around that Anderson County is being looked at by TSSAA for recruiting violations with the Campbell County transfers.
    • I heard from a member of the teaching staff that there has been a dispute over use of the game field between football, and girls lacrosse team. Girls had a game and wanted to warm up and football coaches did want to leave. The football coaches came down hard with some bad vulgar language and the girls lacrosse backed down. What a classy act BHS athletics has become.
